Ok so I happen to have a friend who bought a scratch off today and ended up winning 5,000 dollars so that was too big for the store to cash so he had to go to the lottery office to claim his prize. But I just gotta question about that: What all do you need to bring with you? Do you need like a social security card? A birth certificate? A drivers license/ID?? Or do you just walk in with the winning ticket and they cash it for you on the spot? Thanks
I'd bring everything you mentioned ... why not make sure you get your money .... I do know you need your drivers license and social security card .... cause they make sure you pay taxes on it ... lol
generally two pieces of picture i.d., but to simplify life, just tell them (the lottery commission in question) to direct deposit to your account and wait the couple of weeks it takes the bank to decide its real. at any rate, yah, ask them, since we don't even know which state or country your in, and that sort of might make a difference. also the watchit itself and whatever form the store gave you to fill out.
This. I think pretty much all lotteries have web pages with details on what you need to claim a prize. Be sure to sign the back of your ticket, so the chances that you get ripped off are minimized.
1) The Winning ticket with all the information filled out on the back, Name, Address, Phone Number, Signature. 2) 2 forms of ID: Driver’s license or state ID, Passport or Credit Card, Notice of Jury Duty or Birth Certificate 3) Social Security Card Hotwater
