last night something wierd and horrifying happened to me. I went to sleep round 11:30. somewhere between dreaming and waking I believe I experienced a bizarre phenomenon. I was pretty sure I was awake rather than dreaming, as I was lying face up in my bed in my room, only I wasn't fully conscious or able to move, and /someone/ was standing over my bed staring me in the face!!! I tried to scream, eventually I think I did, I woke up at 1:20 am screaming my ass off. my sister woke up and was like wtf happened?? I was like, I have no damn idea. someone was standing over my bed staring me in the face, and it seemed like I was in between dreaming and waking. excuse my tipsy-ness, what couldve happend to me?
Don't know if what you saw was an old woman or not, but it sounds just like "old hag" syndrome (aka sleep paralysis). -link to explanation of it - http://paranormal.about.com/library/weekly/aa112000a.htm
Sounds like lucid dreaming...? Check out Stalk's thread... I have been reading it and experimenting, very helpful.
Yeah this is sleep paralysis...you're in-between dimensions... I have an entire thread on how to manipulate this ability just search for the forums for "wake induced" and you'll find it. Don't be afraid. Yeah, you're surrounded by spirits. But they're mostly just observing you unless you let them feed off of your fear. So let it go. I know, these experiences are intense, that is why I explore them.
congratulations, sounds like you entered another dimension! they are fun, and there is really nothing that can hurt you, no matter whether it seems like a frightening thing or not.
Had you not been frightened you may have been able to have a precursor to an OBE. If it was an OBE then the person looking into your eyes was you. As a spiritual signpost it may signal the inkling of self awareness. Or it could have been a spirit or ghost. nah.
if you were half awake you probably had a night terror. when i used to have them the subject would always still be there. i could even feel them physically touching me sometimes. mine were caused by excessive stress. so relax, and if it keeps happening, see a professional of some sort.
