What the fuck is wrong with a Phish tattoo?

i've wanted a phish logo on my shoulder blade for a long while but every time i bring it up people are like "dood, that iz teh geyest thing eva..."

WHY!? if i really like the band and i want something to tie me to it just a bit more, whats wrong with that? people say i wont like phish when im 60? ive liked them for well over 10 years now, whats gunna make me not like them anymore? theyve got new material! they said theyd play till they were 90 at darien right before how high the moon! i dont think id regret it too much/at all. ugg...

It's your tattoo, stop caring so much. I don't have one person that supports my bugs bunny tattoo, think that's gonna stop me? Fuck no. If they understand, they understand. If they don't...well, they don't. Who cares. As long as it makes you happy..

I have to say that being 40 there are a lot of bands that I thought I would have never would get tired of hearing. I am wrong. I mean, I do have an excuse, being that I spent my high school years in the 80's and all but a tattoo of a band could get old. A tattoo, expecially your first one should have a story or say something profound about you. I know a lot of guys my age that regret the tattoos they got because they did not really think about what they want to get.

If Phish is all about you then go for it.

I still don't have a tattoo but I think I have gotten really close to what I want and may get it soon. I have a trip planed, going to New Orleans in a couple of weeks. Thinking about getting one. Thinking about the March Hare from Alice in Wonderland, not the Disney one though. Something a little more on the Anime side. Altough I am still torn with the caterpillar and a hookah. We shall see.

if you're into tattoos and you think you'll probably be heavily tattooed at some point in the future then don't sweat it at all.

i have a bunch of tattoos sparsely covering different areas of my body. someday my skin will be twice as covered in tats as it is now. i just got a tattoo impulsively and i plan on getting more impulsive tats in the future.

Right! Do what you want. Don't ever be upset about doing something where people will make fun of you later. I mean there are tons of people with children that had Michael Jackson Tattoos.

yeah my tats have meaning---got my deceased brothers remembrance tat and the dead is beyond just the music--it means alot to me----youll get tired of "pretty pictures" but phish is beyond the music as well after the dead the acid followed them and they had a decent scene--from what i saw--i was a little old to follow them but happened to be in Denver when they played there and i loved the crowd gave me hope for the future--go for it bro -Peace

 

Maybe when you told the people you want a Phish tattoo they thought you meant a "Fish" tattoo.
