What physical characteristics do you see

What physical characteristics do you see in people for each sun sign? I find I can usually tell what sign a person is by looking at them, but as for the specific phisical trait I am looking for, I am not always sure of.

Then there is the whole ascendent indication, of which you can't tell without a birth time and place.

I'm always trying to guess a person's sign, even if its just a stranger on the street.. I like, look at them, and I usually try to get a feel, and I usually end up with one. I don't often check to see if they are right, because I'm not gonna ask a random person what their zodiac sign is, but I FEEL it's right most of the time, when I actually do arrive at a sign. Sometimes I arrive at more than one that I'm almost positive it could be either one. This could perhaps be due to the fact that I'm picking up on their ascendant sign or moon sign as well?

But anyways I think that physical appearance plays a part in my assumption as well as their aura. A couple things I've noticed physically about certain sun signs are the following:

Aries: Aries females are usually very skinny, and most aries people have a characteristic head. I don't want to say its necessarily a BIG head, but maybe, a head that stands out from the rest of the body. Specifically, their foreheads. Male Aries can be noticed by their speech; they usually have very forceful undertones to their voice

Taurus: Tauruses that I meet are always muscular or burly. The females always seem to be tan, with a sense of glamour or fashion diva, and their eyes are always very pretty and noticable, male and female. The males always seem to have curly hair.

Gemini: I don't really think there's anything physically noticable about a Gemini. Everything, even their noticable physical appearance, comes back to their personality. I can usually just sense when somebody is a Gemini, perhaps because I am one? I'm not sure. But, it's usually somebody's attitude, or vibe, which leads me on to them seeming like a Gemini. Sometimes the people who I sense are Gemini have a youthful feel to them, or a very intelligent face.

Cancer: The body is always the key to a Cancer's giveaway. The males are always slim with a naturally toned build, the arms can be slim and muscular, and the hands are always perfect. Females have an air of sensitivity around them and are typically slim and particularly fashionable. Both sexes have very watery, mystical eyes.

Leo: Leo females always have some sort of resemblance to a Lion... I dunno. It just lies in their physical appearance. The bold attitude gives off powerful vibes as well. Most Leos are very obvious because they radiate with a dramatic flair, and the females are always completely into appearance, sometimes superficial looking.

Virgo: Virgos are the hardest for me to pick up on. I think this is because like Gemini, its mostly personality that gives them away. Physically, Virgos always look completely different, though the majority I've encountered tend to have these certain, blue eyes that make you feel intimidated under their gaze. The shy mannerism is usually a clue, and an aura of introversion, or the sense that something is wrong underneath their solid facial expression, can also be picked up on. I always feel a sense of melancholy when I pick up on a Virgo.

Libra: Libra's are my favorite. : D Thus I'm pretty adept at picking up on them. They are always very attractive, even if I sense somebody is a Libra and they aren't THAT attractive, something about them is. The personality, the face, or the body. One is always perfect, even if the others are not. All of my Libran friends also talk JUST like one another, but different from everyone else, over IM. They use alot of emote faces, and have very good sentence structure, and a completely unique and playful personality which just says "I will never bring bad thoughts into your life"

Scorpio: Aside from how the status quo perceives Scorpios, meaning mysterious, shady, and passionate, I think these are traits in Scorpio that are a little less dominant, but present in all. I can feel a Scorpio because I sense that they are somebody who is wild and crazy, a partier, not afraid to experience the wild side of life and push boundaries. I can have a lot of fun with Scorpios sometimes, except when they try to pull me into their crazy emotional schemes. Physically, they have powerful eyes, a freedom-loving face, and an eccentric vibe to them. I think the eccentricity comes from their hair actually... I think most female Scorpios I've met have had really dark hair, or a crazy hair style.

Sagittarius: Sagittariuses are always short or tall, and typically on the slim side. Their facial expression seems to always give away that their head is in the clouds. Their clothes typically give them away, for me. They seem to love brown, and the females love boots and "revealing" clothes, lol. The males seem to have an attraction to red and brown and orange. Male Sagittariuses always own a formal looking buttondown collared shirt.

Capricorn: Only a couple noticable things here for me: Males always have brown, light brown or brown brown hair, naturally straight, but very straight, and it always seems to be parted or have this unique look to it. The hair is always the same on male Capricorns to me.. They also have a certain face, dare I say, one that reminds you of a goat? xD The females are typically average height, and skinny but muscular, and most adult female Capricorns I know are short and stocky, with some weight perhaps, but with delicate feet and hands. The female Capricorn face is very unique.

Aquarius: Aquarius males always remind me of your typical American boy. They are usually very attractive, sometimes verging on flawless in physical appearance, even if its in their own unique appearance. They always seem to have blonde or golden hair, and typically blue eyes. Usually they're on the tan side. The females are always pale, very skinny, and very energetic, with your typical eccentric female appearance. Its in the face or the eyes; It reminds you of lightning.

Pisces: TBH, I've never noticed anything in common with any 2 Pisces I've met. There almost is no "in common" when it comes to Pisces. Except, more than one I have met have been tan skinned with natural dark circles around their eyes. Or maybe its not natural. I don't know. Is it typical of Pisces to not sleep?

Again.. these are just based on my own personal experiences.. I don't know if any of this is textbook, lol

This is very interesting. My boyfriend is a Cancer and he's super skinny, his hands are perfect and his eyes are watery mystical green.
Im a Pisces and my skin is dark (but really that's because Im Dominican) and I usually dont sleep, but no matter what I seem to always have those dark circles around my eyes.

 

In traditional astrology, there are separate methods for determining the face and hair, the shape of the body, and whether the person is fat or thin. I'll summarize what it says about the face and hair:

First you take the nature of any planets of the ascendant.

Then you take the nature of the sign in the ascendant and any signs intercepting the ascendant.

Then take the nature of the lord of the ascendant. These are the classical lords, so no Neptune, Uranus, Pluto, Eris, or any asteroids.

Then take any planets in partile aspect to the ascendant. A Partile is two planets in an aspect in the same degree, so one planet in 10 degrees Capricorn and another in 10 degrees Leo is a partile opposition aspect.

Then take the nature of any fixed stars conjunct the ascendant.

Then take the temperament which is derived from taking the temperament of the ascendant, 10th house, and the sign of the lord of the ascendant. This will show the complexion, and it's going to be relative, so sanguine is fair, phlegmatic is pale, choleric is yellow or red, and melancholic is dark. In addition if Jupiter and or Venus are in the ascendant, it gives good complexion, and if Mars and or Saturn are there it gives a bad complexion. Mars usually denotes scarring or blemishes on the face.

There's quite a bit more, but these are the basic rules.

Every guy I've seriously dated has ended up to be a beautiful blue eyed cancer, always very watery, sensitive, and emotional. They're all cuddlebugs.

I can't figure out whether sun signs or Ascendent signs indicate physical characteristics best. I have known and seen both work. Important planets also dictate what a person may look like. My Mom has the moon and mars in aries in the first house. Her Asc. is Pisces and she has a Gemini stellum in the 3rd house; but she always comes across as an Arien but gentle and compassionate like her Pisces Asc. She is very bright haveing so many planets including her sun in Gemini, not to mention also in the third house which is ruled by Gemini.

 

Your first house and your ascendent shows physical appearance, and the aspects to it are important too. So if there is the Moon in your first house, for example, this will give you Cancerian physical features.

 

And here I was thinking that it was genetics that determined what you looked like all this time.

Obviously genetics plays a part, but so does astrology.

 

If astrology does play a part in determining a person's physical characteristics, wouldn't it make more sense that said characteristics were determined by the positions of celestial bodies at the time of CONCEPTION, rather than the time of birth?

 

Generally speaking, it's the moment of birth that's considered the most significant in terms of the defining characteristics of our souls. There are practitioners of astrology, however, that use conception charts. This issue is somewhat controversial within astrological communities, because there are differing opinions about the exact time at which the soul enters the body.

And yes, the implication is that the attributes of a physical body can be influenced by the presence of the soul even following the establishment of genetic predisposition.

Why do you say that?

 

Actually that's very old idea - even in astrology. The technique of figuring out birth time without previously knowing the correct birth time is called rectification. One of the more popular methods of rectification is finding the date and time of conception.

However charts usually weren't made for conception time because infant mortality was so common. If you were born, you at least made a huge first step. Also a birth chart is your life, health, and body (not personality like in modern astrology), and at the time of conception, you had no health, life, or body.

Besides, I know at least in my case, It would be awkward to sex my parents when they had sex - if they even remembered.

 

I have the moon in Cancer in my first house and it doesn't affect my look at all. I look most like my Asc., Gemini. I am tall and used to be thin and I have nice hands.

 

Because your initial question was based on the (understandable) presupposition that the moment of conception would determine our physical characteristics genetically and should therefore be applied to astrology as well. I was simply pointing out that when taking into account the presence (or lack thereof) of the soul, the issue becomes much more ambiguous.
