    8. Virtual Reality indistinguishable from the real world
    9. Soldiers equipped with a mechanical exosekelton
    10. Newer, more lethal, Fighter Jets with laser cannons
    11. 10,000 Manifestos on how to govern, prompted by the crumble of democracy (Yes, philosophy can be considered a technology)

    because human beings are technology-loving creatures by nature.

    Well when there's almost nothing to keep technology "alive", they'll have to compromise then... :p

    yep... it's sad but we may have to resort to extracting the oil out of dead bodies to keep the ball of technology rolling...

    But the ball will roll, it always has.

    Actually, it has not always kept rolling. Look at Rome, and Byzantine, and Egypt, etc etc...

    I can definately see the same happening to America.

    i think i am just gonna move into a big field and live off the phat of the land, then i wouldnt have to contribute to this rolling technological ball. :D

    Yep... and I am sure nuclear energy will proliferate... We still have leftover ICBMs from the cold war, don't we?

    I think it is an unproven fact that we do, just like it's widely known by everyone with a brain that we have more nuclear weapons than any other country on the Earth.
