Okay then. Education should be more useful than interesting.

Logic as a school subject is hell.

I have mixed feelings about professional psychology but I think the basics and different forms of it (behavioral psychology, parapsychology) should be taught.

    I very much disagree.

I want to have 12 kids.

And you need school to teach you why stealing is wrong ?

also, logic is a great subject. it's just like math except with language instead of stupid numbers.

2 per person is too much. I can kind of understand one as replacement value for yourself but if my life ever turned boring enough to want a kid, I'd certainly adopt.

Philosophy was my favorite class in college, but I agree it's hard to find a practical use for it had nothing to do with my major.

School is not gonna tell me that I should have 2 kids. If I feel like having 10 kids, I will.

    That is true.

There has to be a balance there, sure there's things in school that 'prepare you for the real world' but if they're absolutely boring and explained dryly then it's a bunch of slavery. 12 years is a long-ass time to have uninteresting things pounded to your head with the excuse of it being useful one day.

Well, the idea of teaching that stuff in school is pointless. I just threw in my opinion.

well the main purpose of school is to prepare you for adult life, and a major part of adult life is dealing with things that don't interest you. but i do agree.. there should be some balance; they need to make some effort to get the students interested in what they are doing. but they need to make useful learning interesting instead of just teaching interesting but useless crap.

 I said they were probably the same but I don't know what Life is all about (we never had it) then I detailed what PSHCE has in it.

I think maths should definitely be kept, compound interests being the first thing that leapt into my mind, maths'll be useful. I think IT should be kept in all schools too, I know in some schools here they have it as an option, we don't have a choice about it. I think languages should be taught from as soon as possible.

    lol, I thought you would.

I just say that because if it was taught earlier we wouldn't have so much bullshit from kids in secondary who don't want to learn. It's why I'm actually glad we don't have to take a language (it means I can actually learn in our classes).
