man i remember my first days as a stoner. Nothing but aluminum foil pipes......

I know its bad for you but can you tell me exactly why it is bad for you.
My guess is that the metal could put off some fumes????? thats the only logical thing i can think of right now.

What is commonly called "tin foil" is really aluminum foil.

    Alzheimer’s...

Sorry, I was fucked when I posted that. And yes, supposedly smoking with a tin foil/aluminium foil puts you at greater risk of getting Alzheimer’s. Of course, you'd probably have to smoke it everyday for 50 years to make a difference.

Stay away from aluminum or tin foil. Lead is also dangerous. Steel or brass are good. Copper is probably okay to use as well but im not sure

Copper is a bit too soft and reactive to heat and moisture and gives off fumes if its too hot.Steel, brass stone and wood are the best

You know, people are always saying aluminum will give you alzheimers, but that's not fact. The research that shows that is extremely inconclusive. When people say it'll give you alzheimers, what they should say is that people with alzheimers have shown to have large aluminum oxide deposits in their brain. The interesting thing is that people without alzheimers also show to have large aluminum oxide deposits in their brain. And some scientists have even made the connection that maybe alzheimers produces these aluminum oxide deposits.

And, articulate and well-informed for a 15-yr-old burner. College kids take note.

Many folks say aluminum compunds are quite nasty for you. Plus foil has additional additives beyond the Al that can't be good. It also heats up way to fast and burns your fingers.

Brass is fine but also heats up. At least it doesn;t melt, burn, or seem to produce extraneous chems to inhale. But GLASS is king.
