Hey everyone. I need some quantitative data for a paper, so I decided to post a poll. Here it is... Question: Which do you feel is the most important element to Hip Culture? 1. Politics\Protesting 2. Music\Media 3. Drugs 4. Spiritual values 5. Health values\Vegetarianism
I dont think any one of those things is more important than any other. Though I do think spiritual values and drugs are probably less than politics, music, and health. I say this because most people classified in the "Hip Culture" are put there because of similar political views, music, or health. I know many people that are "hippies" who dont do drugs or believe in any spirituality. just my thoughts. I voted politics... peace, Sam
I voted politics as well.. because thats kinda what the original hippie movement was about right... with the war and all... but meh what do i know
Ya know, all of those things kind of meld together in importanance. One can't be more important than the other, to me anyway. Spirituality and politics affect each other one way or another. Drugs and music do too. In the Hip culture, we have so much passion for so many things that it's hard to put one subject in a higher category than the other ya know?
Love, Freedom which counts as do what you want, and protesting cause alot of protesting is freedom to do what you want(also Anti-War which is good too), and i guess Love and Freedom are spiritual values... i think they are... Drugs and music can help enlighten people to these things...
Politics absolutelly. I'm not really a hippy, though. But out of these, politics matter the most to me; Music/Media is not so important, it's directed by the politic a big time Drugs don't mean anything to me, really, I think they're needless Spirituality doesn't mean as much to me, as I'm an atheist (or so I think) Vegetarianism/animal rights are also important to me but as politics influence that very much, I say that politics are the most important out of these. Love, Borut
