what makes a hippy

Just wanted everyones opinion on what they think makes a hippy. Mine personally is the concept of peace, environment and being yourself.

 

peace, love...Hippies arn't selfish theyre sharing and positive and id say believe in equality..

 

Aren't there anought threads like this?

For me, being a hippie means living the way I want to without any regard for what other people think.

I really don't like the word hippie though. Stereotypes get to me. every hippie is different and incorporates different things in thier lifestyle.

 

i thing your a hippy when you are just relaxed and just let life come at you...

just be yourself and don't care about what others think about you

 

Being hip=enlightened is being anti establishment, looking deeper into the nature of things, seeing the big picture and clamering for a change. A change back to a simpler lifestyle, with less stress and more harmony. A time where people helped one another for growth of the community spirit. Needing more than the crumbs of spirituality you find in the organized religions. Needing more of the truth of our excistance. Ones that know that the world is out of balance, with the very rich and the desolate. The some having too much and the ones that have too little. Balance is the key to understanding.

 

I'll never be a hippie,but I've made a few...

 

Being quite Free in not worring about other peoples perception on you and the way that you can be individual. Living in a good environment like growing or eating organic food being closer to Earth than most people and respecting where you live. Being laid back, ... etc

 

What makes an hippy, for me , is ...

§ Love to human being and respect of other people's mind
§ consciousness that all togheter we can made the world a better place ;
§ respect nature

This topic comes along so often that i am surprising you guys still post in it.

A hippy is someone who stands up!,
walks to you and tells the things that are needed to be said.

A hippy is someone who shares,
giving you the missing piece.

A hippy is someone who is trying to make it a better place,
In love, in harmony, freedom and in peace!

 

what makes a hippy:

1. Dreads.
2. Patchy pants/skirt
3. barefoot/birkenstocks

HF seems to be a R/L World patterned after "Anger Management".
