Im not big on punk altho the undertones and the clash are amazing, I hate pop/rap and dance music.....its just not my thing at all peace and love xxxxxx
everything lately, it's been all about indie and classic rock, hip-hop/rap, classical, jazz and electronica
many many styles, techno, ambient, synth(Music from the Hearts of Space type stuff), acid rap, hip-hop, classic rock, just classical, some jazz, and whatever else can meld with that internal groove.
Techno(mostly trance) and some rap, oldies, metal, a few country songs, and I'll throw some alternative in there.
I listen to '60s psychedelia, '60s garage rock, '60s/'70s hard rock, ambient, and song structured pop/rock mostly.
Jambands (Phish, GD, SCI, moe.) Classic Rock (Zep, Floyd, Doors, Beatles etc.) Reggae. Music I dislike- Rap, Metal, Punk Rock, Mainstream Pop shit.
Mostly its good old rock n roll, Hendrix, The Stones, early Pink Floyd, The Doors, just about all 60s psychedelic rock.... Blind Melon would be my favorite band... early pop like The Beatles... alternative rap (Michael Franti & Spearhead)... trance/techno... some folk music.... too diverse to describe.
I like a lot of older Jam bands, and a lot of Classic rock, old Punk rock, Progressive metal, Progressive rock, Classical music when I'm that "place" in my mind, old school Hip-hop when I'm in that "place" in my mind, a lot of types of Jazz (except Be-bop and Swing really), '80s New Wave, '70s rockabilly, '80s synth, '80s power metal and a really small amount of melodic black metal. I'm really big on Classic rock and Progressive rock, probably more than prog. Metal or classical stuff. Classic rock is soothing to me,... Alice Cooper and oldest KISS albums put me in a good place of mind somehow. And, ofcourse, you've gotta love the progressive Yes and Rush type bands. Very awesome, indeed!
