I'm definitely not an athletic person.. but if I enjoy pilates, yoga, stretching exercises in general, dancing, skating, skiing, swimming, and the bike. I absolutely hate running. I also used to really enjoy horseback riding but I haven't done that in a while! What about you? Do you excercise on a regular basis?
No, I don't think I exercise as much as I should I like slow, easy going stuff like pilates. Cannot do yoga because my priest said its a big no. I also did bellydancing for a long time, but I am very much sick of it. My favorites are swimming and golf. I love those two :cheers2: Not miniature golf though, cause that's just lame. I also dislike group sports.
i get to the gym 2-3 times a week nowadays...more likely its 2 times a week, because thats what my program calls for. the 2 days are pretty heavy percentages based off of my testing...need to be readjusted soon. i love swimming, biking, basketball, field sports are awesome. i'll be on a week long outdoor trip in august - hiking and what not, so i have to get ready for that, because right now, my training is far from allowing me to optimize myself on the trip
Fencing! Cricket, Rounders, Badminton, Games like Kho Kho which I played today for the first time ever! I like swimming too... but I don't go often. In fact, the only regular exercise I do is walking and Fencing. Why? Read it as 'Juggling'
i used to love lifting weights. bench press was always my favorite, but i did curls, rows, tricep pushdowns, forearm curls, that thing where you lift your knees to your chest while hanging from a dip thing, and shrugs too. anymore, i'm too lazy to do that so i'm just doing chin ups/pushups/crunches. then for cardio i play basketball. gotta do something about my shoulders though. when i lift, my tendinitis really acts up (lifted too much in high school).
i'm pretty sure it's the spiritual aspect of yoga. martial arts is against the catholic church too. (i was raised catholic)
Really ? Hah, I never knew that. Interesting. I don't see why though. I mean I get yoga, but there's no spiritual aspect to martial arts. At least I am not familiar with it.
I don't exercise very often. However, I enjoy cycling, walking, frisbee, and other stuff that you do with your friends in the park. and dancing!
majority of people bench press wrong/bad technique, which puts a lot of stress on the shoulder - especially when they are straight bar benching (typical barbell)...and they also do very little work for the upper back compared to what they do for a pressing movement. which all leads to injuries flaring up.
yoga, dancing - Zumba, turbo jam, pilates, i took belly dancing in middle school and then for a while during college. i stopped for a bit because instructor died she was the best belly dancer ever. she could balance a sword on her hip and still move
