Half my ancestors came over on the Mayflower, the other half met them here. Scottish, Irish, English, .....Blackfoot, Cherokee.
paternal grandfather - Russian grandmother - mostly Russian via Czechoslovakia maternal side - British and some Irish. And some Nordic.
According to DNA analysis: 70% Central European/German and 30% British Isles. I discovered last week that I share a male ancestor with a Muslim living in Iraq...20 generations ago. So far I have identified by name: German, Dutch, Swiss, Austrian, English, Scottish, Welsh, Irish, French. I'm a total mutt!
Dad and mom both came from 100% Dutch families, though people on my mom's side liked to speculate that somewhere in the distant past was a French man and/or a black man.
German, Scottish, French, and a small bit Cherokee. But I am not one of those white guys who says he is native. But apparently on my moms side they were once the servants of the court. So not royalty but they got to eat the left overs from the king's dinner. Winning.
Mostly English. A bit of Cherokee, and a bit of French so far back it hardly matters. I read they were special though. For what it matters lol
Born and raised in the U.S.A. All 4 grandparents were Irish....Yea, yea, hold the jokes. I fit both of them.
Lots of German and Irish, can't remember the rest...must have been some real sombitches though, I can drink like no one I've ever met.
I don't know...all I know is that if you look it up in a book on the subject or an online site, that's what it says. You should ask them and let me know, I've always been a little curious. I have my ancestry traced back into 1500's England, and the surname back to 1302 there, so I guess that's kinda old. Lol...
