Chocolate with chocolate chips added. You have to sprinkle the chips on top of the batter so they don't end up all at the bottom.
Cheesecake! I like it plain, with the classic fruit topping (strawberry, cherry, raspberry, etc.) or more funky ones like Oreo, coffee or my favorite of the moment, brownie-caramel-white chocolate. It really is to die for.
So far they all sound great, except maybe the jello cake? Got a pic of that? My favs would be anything with chocolate, pretty much. Like: German Chocolate Sacher Torte Chocolate Mocha Mousse Cheesecake (yeah baby, but soooo fattening!) Chocolate Zuppa (probably my fav.) Just a few of the things I used to whip out daily... :chef: I gained 30 pounds making and serving those items! Funny thing though, never really ate a whole piece myself. No need! Can't help but lick your fingers after serving it up.
There's this bakery in town, 'Bernices' that used to make the most wonderful pastry's. The Lemon poppy seed torte was one of their most expensive and delicious cakes. When Bernice sold the place she took that recipe with her. :bigcry:
\\ jello poke cake.. usually a yellow cake/ poke holes with straw, fill holes with favorite jello.. Dream whip topping icing.
vanilla bundt with white glazed icing apple upside down...my mom used to make an awesome one, and nothing can beat it to this day...not even me vanilla, berry filling, whipped cream
I don't know what it's called, or how the recipe goes exactly, but my mother makes a really good cake with dark chocolate. It looks kind of like this It's perfect because it's not too tall, or too sweet. Oh and I had a perfect Ferrero Rocher cake at a wedding. Wedding cakes are usually not very tasty.
For Many Years I Worshiped Cheesecake, But As Of Late I Would Love To Try All Of The Cakes In The Above Posts... Cheers Glen.
German Chocolate for me. I found a recipe for Caramelized Banana Upside-Down Cake that I've been drooling over, so that might be the new #1. Gotta make it first, so we'll see.
That's a sacher torte, esp. if it has apricot inside... Yummy! You can usually get that thru a specialty bakery, or onlne, or have your mom show you how to make it (best way!). Looking at it again, seems to be another layer of chocolate under a thin frosting, probably mousse. If so that's a different cake. Perhaps triple chocolate or such.
