As for me, I got laid off a few weeks back. Now, I am back doing what I have always done, but now full time. Posting Ads on Craigslist and passing out business cards to get business , Organizing and Cleaning peoples clutter..hauling and also helping people move. It is harder physically, but work less days and make a little less money.
ive been laid off since september 11. looking just enough to satisfy the requirements to receive my unemployment benefits and enjoying the long vacation.. about march i will seriously get busy hustling work..
currently unemployed but i put in an application at an arts & crafts store yesterday that was hiring.
been laid off from a factory, assembling spring coils that connect cabins to arctic trucks. factory forced into close because suppliers realised they could get the work out for much cheaper in a foreign country.. typical fucking britain - our country gets flooded with work-hungry immigrants, and my job fucks off to Hungary!!!
i go around, business to business, selling office supplies going on a business trip on monday then going down to Nashville for a conference in a couple weeks as well
Employed fulltime doing contract work generally, but we are all being laid off temporarily for three weeks this season. So I have applied for EI (employment insurance.....rather, unemployment benefits). So Im covered.
I'm in the UK For the foreseable future, yes. If the company I work for stays in business another 50 years - the only reason I'd lose my job is through a dereliction of duty or I quit.
I am employed. I teach martial arts, and I work at a gym (only front desk right now). I will be a certified personal trainer soon though. I'm also going to school for a paralegal.
