We all live amongst the cosmos, the continuous marvel baffling us from as far as our technology can span. Every piece piece of this majestic puzzle strung together through every bit of existing matter. It comprises everything around us; everything, a term so broad in definition. A word improper for such a tremendous plane. The universe contains all we know; from our sun to the planets, star stuff, matter, energy, nebula's and all the galaxies peppered in between. But what is it? What does it all me? What is time? What is all we know? What IS the universe?
its that big near infinity of things out there, that all of human knowledge, society, dreams, hopes, beliefs, don't make a pimple on a gnat's ass compared to.
dont think to hard... trying to figure out something that can hardly be figured will drive ya mad! there is no right answer.. no wrong answer. everything just is.. the push and pull.... so live right now.. cuz in my eyes there is no time.. just right now. . . . time is such an interesting thought isnt it? when i was trippin in the woods, some words came to my mind and ill never forget it.... 'all we have is everything, and everything is right now'. there it is.. thats about the most wisdom i got for you dolly
that's all very lovely. yes no WRONG answer, just a lot of not very pertinent ones. sorry i don't see what any of that has to do with the question.
i cant give her an answer to things that will clearly be unclear for the rest of our human lives.... the answer is right now because all i know is right now, and just existing as truly as i can in this moment that is passing as i type.... its okay that you dont understand what my response has to do with the op as opposed to your saying that there is never ending stuff and everything in the existance of humans isnt squat in comparison... i agree.. in comparison, its not. but just that we are in this huge puzzle... just that we have a place in everything that is... is CRAZY significant. i dont know the answer... but i have it... i think everyone does... and i dont think it can righteously be put into words.. and to go beyond, what i just said.. i think it is more than just having the answer.. i believe we are the answer.. us existing as are, just as much as the trees or the sky or the planets... stars... dimensions. i dont know why or what and neither does almost anyone at all.... we just live... and before you know it something else happens... we die and our energy is transferred..i dont know where or what... okay so im sorry if this whole thing was a waste of your time to read, but isnt it enough to just be here?
The universe is a series of multi-dimensional superstrings, according to quantum theory. I personally think that our Universe is simply one small facet of the whole of Existance.
Time is the unit we have invented to describe movements between objects on earth relative to the earths movements in the solar system. The rest has not been answered yet. Except for the fact that all matter is just energy, therefore life itself could be just perception. But who knows? I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with any god anyway!
Heres a mind fuck for you. The answer is within what we currently call an atom. Mankinds children will eventually discover a tiny, microscopic fraction of the 'Milky Way' contained within what we currently call a quark. Our volatile Sun will eventually die out and the cycle will start again and again and again. Round and round it goes
What I mean is our 'universe' could actually be a 'quark' of an insignificant atom that we will never comprehend. If an ant crawled over your footwear could it ever know it was made by Nike?
From the perspective of the individual ‘time is consciousness’ when we sleep at night time ceases to exist. You may dream but during the dream-state time is reduced to zero. Hotwater
The universe is a coded mathematic formula. IE. We should all spit at it and hate on it for being so difficult!!
^ I agree with Sam stoned about the cliche answers. Your responses seem quite trite, although the eternal now is an often used philisophical stance. the way you are presenting it seems to be a cop out though from knowledge. Responding to your first post, We borrow from the past at a personal level via memories and experience for individual growth and on a collective level via standing on the shoulders of those before us to attempt to better our position in life and make it easier; cars, phones, and internet are all examples we can relate to and none of which just happened over night. Then in turn we plant seeds of ideas and tools for the future which we may not have capabilities to fully actualize at the moment. In response to this post if you believe we are the answer and/or have the answer why do you not believe our constant questioning of the universe and attempt to understand it is a part of that answer? Our constant striving for innovation and thirst for knowledge has put us on a completely different path and journey from our roots and I'm sure far beyond the comprehension of any of our ancestors who lived 200,000 years ago, even as little as 200 years ago. So why settle for complacency?
