What is the point in a female orgasm?

It seems to me there is no biological purpose in the female having an orgasm. It makes sense that a male does (To blow his load and reproduce), but there really is no point in a girl having an orgasm.

Also, I am more concerned with pleasing the girl during sex than myself because I know I can please myself, I just want to make sure she orgasms. Is the female orgasm like the males in that it comes on very hard and strong or does it last longer and its not so strong or what?

It seems like everybody worries about the guy "finishing" during sex by cumming on her or in her or whatever. How can I be sure that I don't finish before she gets any pleasure or that we orgasm near the same time?

It seems like so many girls fake orgams and stuff like that. Thats bullshit. If I was a girl I'd speak up and say "Hey, I'm not there yet!"

There used to be a theory in circulation that the female orgasm can help move the semen deeper inside the female's body. It was disproved, quickly, however.

According to what I learned in nursing school when the female has an orgasam the cervix pulses up and down to help fascilitate sperm up into the uterus.

I think it's designed for us to want sex. I mean, the pleasure we feel before and during intercourse is what makes us want to do it again (I don't mean orgasms by necessity, just pleasure). If it hurt, I sure as heck wouldn't be bothering with intercourse

YellowBelly... what you refer to is what bella_donna also referred to above, when she said that theory has been disproved. I've never heard that it's been disproved, but I have heard that it's only a supposition....
