What Is The Largest Geographical Gap You've Tripped?

i was just thinking about all the places that i've tripped on LSD. not surprisingly, most of my trips have been in the general area i live in - new york state. the majority probably in the city i live in now, followed by in the town that i grew up in, and sprinkled pretty well with various places in western NY at small festivals.

i also tripped in Toronto, ON Canada at a concert at Lee's Palace. got to meet my favorite band at the time, Pinback.

i took acid on my honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and swam in the Pacific Ocean.


but the LARGEST geographical gap i've had (hope you guys recognize the parody thread title) is.....

Icy Straight Point in Hoonah, Alaska. i was there on a cruise with my family, but i dosed when my brother and i were away from our parents for awhile. i explored the rainforest of this island in Alaska, it was fuckin' awesome. then i rode the lifeboat back to the cruise ship, envisioning it crashing and me having to save my brother and i...it was one of the best trips i've ever had.


pretty wild that i've taken LSD in three different countries, and across a span of some 3 or 4,000 miles (i tried to look it up but google maps can't calculate).

next up, i'd like to trip in Europe somewhere. i've never visited.

I only tripped below sea level in my own little country.

Not sure if you would answer this question here porkstock, but I am wondering how you got LSD in Mexico? And since it was recently been talked about how hideous Mexico is regarded by US tourists (except if you're filthy rich or a cheap student backpacker apparently ) how your honeymoon holiday there was! Mexico always sounded fun to me if you went to (or avoid) certain places/circumstances.

 

haha awesome. when i was going to that concert is when i had considered stopping along to way meet you...but decided against it since my work friend was the one driving. unless i am confusing you with another member.

we went to an all-inclusive resort, those places are pretty self-contained. seemed perfectly safe. we went on some excursions, took the shuttle to the beach...typical tourist vacation. it was a lot of fun, but we didn't see much of mexico. it was a "living social" deal that i bought, so not that expensive.

 

we had peyote delivered to us in a downtown hotel by a toy jobber from michoacan. He arrived with a thirty gallon trash bag with about 40 pounds of green cactus rootstock and all. Obviously more concerned with making an impression then the state of his countries environment.

maybe a few states away but never really found tripping the GD concerts enjoyable.. attended with a straight mind/ fml.. .

 

what's not to like about tripping and live music? ....enormous crowds? that could do it.

 

Canada, Sweden and Australia myself.

Canada and Sweden are pretty alike, but Australia is a bit of a different environment for tripping!

 

wow australia is pretty far away! i think you dosed 2ce in sweden? what about in australia? i'd love to hear more about that trip.

 

I've tripped on other worlds...

Southern California to Western Montana and many points in between. I was actually tripping in Mexico briefly (Baja) when my buddy kept crossing the border back and forth as we were off-roading south of San diego.
I remember laughing, every time we'd cross the creek he would say " whoa dude, like, now we're in mexico...now we're not...now we are...now we're back..." dude was an SD home-boy, and very Spicoli-like. First dude I ever heard say "gnarly" as a natural part of his vernacular, lol

 

yeah, that was me! you would have driven right through the city I was living in at the time.

 

lived in imperial beach for a while, never got an oportunity to get high there though.

 

Just the idea that it is an unfamiliar environment could make one who got in a less fun trip because of that once to be more cautious. Personally I would not go on a psych trip at a concert. Rather 'just' xtc or mdma (on special occasion that is, overall I prefer sticking with doobies and beers with live music)

In Sweden I have dosed 2c-e, LSD, intranasal DMT, 25i/25c-NBOMe. What I am missing there is a good mushroom trip however, haha.
Both of my highest dose LSD trips were in fact in Sweden!

When I went tripping in Australia it was a bit different than what I'd normally do. A couple of people I had met, traveled with and gotten close to decided to look for a bush doof happening. Basically just a rave out in the forest where someone brings speakers, lights, decorations etc.

I went to one bush doof, which was so much fun I wanted to try again. That first time I only took MDMA (although it was pressed, so who knows what was actually in there! According to pillreports they were supposed to be a good logo, but again, who knows). So the second time, about a month later, I got some MDMA again thinking it would be a good time. It turns out the MDMA was pretty bunk, and a couple of my friends had tried to buy LSD from the same guy who sold me the MDMA, and it was also bunk.

So, they were going to look for more acid. Initially I didn't want to trip. But when the MDMA only came on so very slightly I was disappointed and decided I would take a tab after all. It was a fantastic decision. Unfortunately they were playing mainly really hard/dark psytrance (we had arrived at about 1AM on day 2 out of 4.. it was a combo Easter/420 weekend party). So I wasn't really having too much fun trying to dance.

I went back to my buddy's car where I spent most of the rest of the night. We were hotboxing for a while, and then my friend got too high to roll anymore. He kept taking out his tobacco, weed and papers, focusing himself, and then getting completely lost in his thoughts again. There were about 5-6 half-rolled joints lying in the car that morning.

There were plenty of weird dynamics with the people all around us. The thing is, when you arrive so late, you don't realize how big it is. This party was 2 stages, over a thousand people (probably a couple of thousand), huge bonfires. All in the middle of a national park. So I was getting a bit nervous, being that it was so big when the morning came around. I opened the car door, and then I heard what I thought sounded like a helicopter, followed by the voice "This is the police, you are all under arrest!". That got my adrenaline pumping! It turns out the sound from the 2 stages was just melding and sounded like a helicopter, and right then some dick DJ had thrown that voice clip into his song, haha.

I went out and danced a bit more that morning but we were coming down and decided to head back on home. I guess I could have kept the party going.. and in retrospect I am a bit disappointed at that we only did one day, but I was not prepared for that size of an event. Neither mentally, nor with supplies.


Oh well, there's always another time to stay the whole 4 days. Hehe.


Edit: I forgot to mention the big old eucalyptus trees out in the national forest.. man.. so beautiful. I think eucalyptus trees are my favourite type of tree. I just love the way they look.

 

I was in Michoacan during 2010-2011.. or perhaps it was 2011-2012.

Anyway, Michoacan is (or was at the time at least) highly advised against visiting on the basis that it was so dangerous. However I had no problems at all. I think as long as you aren't going out at night and getting into sketchy situations that Mexico is pretty okay. That being said, I have some family down there, so I was with people who owned a house and knew the area.

Also, the border towns can be a bit wild from what I hear. But overall the danger seems to be over-rated.

Other than the fact that New Year's Eve, from about 11PM-12PM consisted of a constant barrage of shooting. It's how they celebrate. You could hear machine guns, pistols.. everything. And the bullets still have enough velocity coming down to earth to seriously injure/kill. So as long as you are indoors during NYE, or at least under a roof

i'm curious though...how did you end up in australia? i mean, did you go with your parents or just with your friends?

 

I was back-packing in Australia for about 8 months.
And New Zealand for about 2 weeks on my way home, however I had about 100$ to last me my whole stay in NZ. It wasn't quite the same experience as Australia, haha.
