Okay, this is presumably a very simple question What is the closest you've been dying? For me it was when: - I peeled with my fingers of the safety switch on a lift and got 400 V to me. - I tried to extract Ricin, an extremely strong poison. Began to feel generally unwell, vomit and sh*t blood, fever and other signs of ricin poisoning.
I've never been close to dying ..I've been quite lucky!!!!!! Not even a broken bone.. I suppose, my heart is kinda weird, and i have problems with it sometimes, i got electrocuted and couldve had heart failure or something ha , but that would've been worst case scenario !!! i was able to pull away from the electricity,.. It just gave me a fright, my hole body was shaking, and i had some cuts on my hands :-/
Does pulling out of the driveway on the 3 wheeler and glancing back only to see the front bumper of the neighbors blazer a foot away count? Its a township road in front here so she wasnt putting along, but I looked back and all I thought was geez close enough aint ya......It was my neighbors wife driving the blazer, she was so shook up she wouldnt drive by my place for a while..
Close, But You Did Not Make Actual Contact With The Bumper.... So You Fail.... All Our Lines Are Open, So Please Try Again.... Cheers Glen.
Leggie broke in 20ft surf down near Kiama about 10 years back and I kept getting pounded between the wash and a rock wall That was probably the closest, arms were so stuffed another couple minutes in the water and I would have ended up fish food. Had an epiphany that afternoon, shit I almost drowned. Then I just forgot about it, stupid enough going out in surf I couldnt handle in a remote location with just one other mate anyway Oh and a few motorcycle close calls, but again stupid anyway, more than 100kph on two wheels and you are just asking for it
One time a family member of mine was in a play at their church at christmas time. It was a 2 and a half hour reenactment of the birth, life, and death of Jesus. About two hours and 10 minutes in I seriously considered suicide by asphyxiation.
About two year's ago I went to put a knife in a toaster after my bread got stuck. My dad snatched the knife away, turned off the toaster and banished me from the kitchen. When I was about eight or nine I was hanging out with this other kid I went to school with, outside my house. I gave him a piggy back ride and ended up falling over on some gravel but he didn't let go of my neck. He was about six at the time so I dont think he understood that I wasn't finding the game very fun anymore and that he was essentially strangling me. Sound's clique but eventually I just had this feeling of peace come over me and remember thinking, "this isn't so bad." Then I realised that I was able to breath again, and the kid was gone.
closest i've came to dying...a quarter inch. i was in 5th grade, playing guns with some friends. our "guns" were sticks, and i'm sure out mothers had warned us about running with sticks... i tripped on some sheet metal behind the garage, and the stick stabbed me in the chest. i got 23 stitches and the doc said i was 1/4" away from piercing my lung
I got caught in a rip tide once in the ocean and couldn't swim myself back to shore or to reach a sand bar some place. But my dad swam out to get me thankfully and carried me back to the beach.
I used to hemorrhage a lot...so I almost died a bunch of times. The funnest time was when a friend and I rolled his truck down a hill 14 times. Gotta admit-it was AWESOME!
More than 30 years ago, I ate Amanita Pantherinas (mushrooms), and nearly died from poisoning. I was very sick for days and couldn't even look at mushrooms for about 2 years afterwards. My liver has never been the same since. I never did get any treatment for it. And two days ago I watched a news report about some guy who ate mushrooms growing in his backyard. He nearly died but they used an experimental drug on him that saved him and a friend who also ate the same mushrooms. He would've died without the new treatment. The treatment was so successful they've now approved the drug for treating mushroom poisoning. Then they showed a picture of the mushrooms... the same ones I ate!
well, i've never been dying anywhere, let alone close by... i did think i died once on salvia. and as far as actual, near death experiences, the only one i can think of offhand is when some jackass was shooting his gun into my backyard and i could hear bullets whizzing past my head.
i was drunk as shit on the roof of my moms house when i was like 18 and pissing off the top of it. I was about fifty feet up. I was so drunk and I started to fall forward but somehow I managed to shift my weight backwards so i just fell backwards and rolled down the side of it a few feet.
