dimethyltryptamine naturally secreated in the brain during metabolism it's what creates dreams if smoked it can produce intense hallucinations lasting 5-30 minutes it's all on erowid, i've yet to try DMT, but i'm hoping to
I think "intense hallucinations" is an understatement. From what I've read its like launching your consciousness into an entirely new and mindblowing reality. Increadibly intense trip.
DMT is a relatively hard to acquire psychedelic that is considered to be the most qualitatively potent drug in its class when smoked or injected. It can also be ingested orally with the aid of a mono amide oxidase inhibitor (MAOI). This is generally termed "ayahuasca" and this method of ingestion has been used for hundreds of years at least, more likely thousands by tribal peoples with shamanism as their religion. Through one's psychedelic career or journey, depending on the people you know, you may never encounter DMT. If you do it may be low quality orange "earwax" grade DMT. An encounter with white DMT crystals is sometimes enough to turn an experienced user off from psychedelics. Most people who do it, do it once and choose to never do it again. During your journey you will surely encounter many drug users, practically ever single one who has heard of the substance, that are gung-ho to try it. Most of these people should not attempt taking this substance. Because of the brevity of the DMT experience, it is not recommended that a beginner or weak-willed person partake in smoking this substance if they happen to find it is available to them. I've personally witnessed a panic attack on this substance because of the presence of a negative person who said the wrong thing. When the affected came down a little, she could not even look at the bushes outside because they looked evil. She could not step foot in the room where the experience happened without crying. On this substance I have melted into nothing and merged with a guitar solo, that became my vehicle to a place light years away; an ancient but futuristic place. It is hard to describe DMT experiences. Feeling the presence of or actually meeting with a "higher consciousness" is a frequent occurence for DMT smokers. As you're exhaling you are starting to soar, on a fat hit you may get the wah-wahs, which nitrous users are thoroughly familiar with. By the time you can see the cloud of smoke in front of you, you are almost peaking. This rapid come up can be very frightening to an unprepared person. It is short acting however, which can be good if a person is having a 'freak-out.' All in all, people who should do DMT comprise a tiny percentage of the population of psychedelic users.
It can be tough to find a short description of DMT, so I resisted the urge to say google.com lol and typed something up that should give a brief description of the substance while discouraging casual use.
DMT? Thats the stuff I sprinkle on blunts and smoke while driving around the city blasting Wu Tang. Usually admist multiple stops on various blocks to unload vials of 'hard'
Yea, at some point I'll probably have time to extract it, but in the mean time I'm sure I'll do fine without.
Dude, awesome sig! Is the Alex ? I have never seen it before, but I have had similar mentally captured moments of penetrating insight, both on the end of myself seing into myself, (as in the painting) and by being pulled to the moon and the stars. What was nuts was when I got stuck in a (something lol) by focusing my attention on the fact that some stars have burned out ages ago and we are receving the light at the moment. Makes it really easy to break down reality and stop time, and appreciate the very essence of existance when there is no such thing as time, only being, living, that instant which can strecth to eternity if you so desire
Yea, its Alex. I had something just like that happen (assuming that the intricate shapes in the background is her merging with nature). Thats at least how I am interpreting it because I once sort of just melted and spread out over and into everything around me. When I "came back" per sey the moon had turned into the sun (or something like the sun at least). Without a doubt the most beautiful thing I've ever experienced.
I can dig that totally man, the way the painting first struck me is that the intricate shit is her essence of being, the positive loving energy that vibrates and consumes our physical aspect of the body, merging into the super soul, and nature is but a part of the big picture of the web of conciousness. Basically, exactly what you said, only that I am an avid devotee of Lord Krsna (obviously  ) and I saw His divine love in the painting Amazing though, that feeling of oneness, the loss of physical self, realization of the true Self not limited to and contained by our prescense, melting into all that is perceived by us. Beautiful post friend
Yea, I love this painting. I actually tried to recreate it for an art project this year. Fucked that shit up soooo badly so I ended up painting Isaac Abrams "All Things are One"
What's this talk with the "most powerful/potent psychedelic"? I've heard it was Salvia Divinorum, LSD and DMT.... which one is it?
Salvia is to fucked up, deals with a completly different part of your brain than any psychedelic. Although I smoked dmt when i was 15 and i have to say that was pretty fucked up, I also did way to much acid for that age and it gave me a really negative outlook on everything that for some reason i thought was posotive. I would suggest to anyone to wait untill your older. defintaly not shit for an immature brain.
