What is AMT like?

I want to know what I should be expecting, I've read trip reports on Erowid, but I want to get some more personal experiences.

 

i am also very curious about this substance.
if anyone wants to delve into some personal experiences with AMT im sure you've got a crowd.

I've been hunting around for it through different sources and still have not come across it. 5-meo-amt yes but not amt. Maybe it's hard to come by now for some reason.

 

Getting it isn't the problem for me. I just want to know what to expect.

AMT is wonderful stuff. Almost reminds me of a tryptamine version of mdma without the huge crash. Some of the effects do resemble mdma... increased empathy ect. It's really nice, and it last a really long time. Plus, for me, there is no "crash" at the end of the experience assuming I dose early enough (it lasts a full day).

High doses can cause considerable nausea, stimulation and confusion... you'll need to play with the dosage a bit to find your sweet spot... otherwise, those side effects will just overpower the experience.

For me, I enjoy 40 to 50mg for a trip. It feels nice at this level, and the stimulation helps me do things I dread like clean my apartment or whatever. Not much visuals at this level, though... but I don't think amt is the drug of choice if you're looking for visual activity.

I also like to take 5 to 10mg doses as "day enhances". The experience is almost barely noticeable, but you will be in an enhanced, more creative mood. It's really something you gotta experience to understand...\

Ooh. How long does it last for you? It seems to normally last really long (14+ hours) but there have been a few people saying it only lasted about 8 hours for them.

 

He jsut said it lasts a full day for him , BTW, I need sum info on 4-fmp, unless I just get it, and write an experience about how I was so over stimulated I worked out so much in one day, I turned into a body builder.. Hehe..

Been a long time reader, but this will be my first post on any board of this nature. From 2002-2004 I have had over 100 encounters with AMT, I would say it is by far my favorite of the tryptamine series that I have tried. from doses of 5mg up to 150mg throughout the two year span. My favorite time would have to be a night my friend "Stabby" and I took 35mg each and ventured to the Last Pink Floyd laser light show of the "Dark Side of the Moon" in a town close by. We ate it right before the drive and had a gallon of Tequila with us. We drank on the way up there and by the time we had arrived it was kicking in. My stomach was knotty and I was very anxious. It was in a planetarium so the entire room was filled with movement and colors from every angle except for the floor. "Wiggles and Swirls" vibrated the pictures and the music flowed through my body. Fast forward to the ride back, I was really feeling it now. The tracers from the on coming traffic was a bit much due to distractions they were causing me. So I let Stabby drive. We hit the bottle some more while we were on the way back. By the time were we back to his place, EVERYBODY was gone no one home. So we had absolutely nothing to keep us entertained. I got on the chair, he was on the couch and we passed the bottle back and forth until it was gone. "......" parts I cant quite remember , but the funniest part of the whole night was when he lit a cigarette from the filter and smoke it through the filter and about a 1/4 through. It was priceless. He still has it glues to a magnet to his Frig is I recall. By day break one of his roommates had arrived and to her surprise we had trashed the entire house, even though he nor I never left the chair or couch the whole night. What can I say else. I have some scary ones as well, but this was my favorite time.

 

around here they say its AMt but also say its synthetic mescaline and its liquid. havnt really dove into it... vials are $500 a pop.

 

on erowid it lists dosages for oral and smoked when they have it listed as smoked do they mean vaporized or like thrown in with some weed on a blunt and smoked?

 

You'd want to vaporize it... but by sprinkling some on top of some weed SOME of it would be properly vaporized while the rest would combust and be destroyed so either method will work to one degree or another.

Vaporizing aMT was kinda nasty and it seemed like forever for the little 20mg pile to finally fully vaporize.

Just pure vaporization is the best way... and to be hones, I never really like aMT vaporized. The experience was always so much more filling and deep when I went the oral route.

 

I still haven't tried this. So close to last week, but the long duration makes it so hard to work into life with school and shit. Sucks. It's time will come though.

 

You could always wake up one a regular day and take a 5mg "day enhancer" dose and then go about your day as normal. You'll be able to feel some effects, but they will be very minor. If anything, you'll probably just be a little more creative, slightly stimulated and happy.

 

Would it be possible to go on with school and stuff on that minor amount?

 

IMO 5mg is such a low dose that it will hardly effect you. I've gone to work (driving, working around dangerous equipment, dealing with upper management) before with out a problem AT ALL. In fact, the 5mg daily dose started to work as a great anti depressant for me until I ran out. I cant suggest you try it (For liability reasons ) but, I've heard it might be a good idea to try *

Just make sure you start with a really small dose... 5mg should be about right. It'll make things a little more colofurl, interesting and nice. Your be in a better mood, and it should last all day. If you take it first thing in the morning, you should have no trouble sleeping that night at ALL.

Give it a try. I think you'll be surprised. There are some great benefits to some of these rc's at low doses!
