What is a good James Brown studio album to start with?

I have one compilation album by James Brown, which I bought about three or four months ago, and recently have started to love it. I don't know much about Brown's studio output, so I was wondering if there are any fans of him here? What material would you recommend?

I would have to say The Payback. This was recorded at the peak of his funk era. Simply an amazing album. SOLID grooves on here.

My favorite James Brown albums are thr 50th anniversary collection (2003) and Live at the Apollo (1963)
