What if your teeth grew perpetually like toe nails?

Would that be a good or a bad thing?

On the one hand you would always be able to re-grow your teeth if they were rotten, but the down side is of course you would have to visit the dentists regularly to have them cropped, which might hurt.

i bunny sit from time to time. my neighbor's kids have a couple of pet rabbits.
those little mothers teeth grow out all the time.
i have to leave bits of wood around for them to chew on.

if our teeth grew all the time like rabbits do, we would all be chewing on wood all the time just like they do.

 

if my teef kept growing, I wouldn't be worried about going to get these bitches appraised, and probably subsequently removed

 

On the other hand, what if your toenails didn't grow out and stayed the same length like your teeth, so every day you had to brush them twice to keep them in good condition and if they started to rot you had to go to the toenail dentist who would drill into them and fill them with metal. :ack2:

 

I would hate the toenail dentist as much as I do the toof dentist I think!...;-D

 

I think if a tooth is rotten it stays rotten. Wouldn't like to get my teeth clipped like a rabbit. So, I say it would be a bad thing!

 

well, teeth are one of the very first things you see when you meet a person and one of the most prominent features about that person once you get to know them.

even if in said parallel universe, it would be unnatural to greet someone's toes rather than their face.

 

How do you know that for sure?

 

if we were greeting feet then undoubtedly many more things would be all scrambled up. the world would be completely unrecognizable as an existence similar to our own.

if we ate with our toenails, we might digest food on the outside of our bodies, so we wouldnt even have teeth.

or maybe everything would be made out of legos

Technically you'd be a rodent and therefore more rat-like than you already are.

 

Perpetual growth of your teeth might affect your speech patterns a bit... and would lead to idle comments like, "It sounds like you need your teeth trimmed."

Well, I'd think that if your teeth grew like that, they'd have "tooth trimmers" and "tooth files" that you could buy. I'd imagine filing the back teeth would be a bit difficult.

 

That's just a hare too close for comfort.
