If you could change the world, from this point forward, in any way you wanted, what would the future look like?
I would like to see a world with peace. Unlike now when war is a heartbeat away. The greed and corruption that every government has today is sad. Human life means very little to leaders who have put them self in high places. And will stop at nothing to get the almighty dollar. Even in USA what has happened to a government by the people for the people.
I would like to see a future where green power is the norm….saving our planet from climate destruction needs to be one of the top priorities world wide. Try a little research on your own and you can see the problem for yourself. Look at satellite photos of say Kona, Hawaii. As you zoom in you will see solar panels everywhere….on residential buildings, on big stores, on strip malls. Next look at the Dallas Fort Worth area. Plenty of bare roofs with great big AC units but almost no solar units. Shame. And then the Phoenix area. A few solar installations but not many and largely on public buildings….in another area with abundant sunshine. This is an example of the place for political mandates and public policy. Not nonsense from fossil fuel lobbyists. And yes one political party should have a dinosaur as it’s symbol, not an elephant. And if we can’t muster the will to change our ways, there is no future. Period
Green energy Incorruptible politicians with a moral compass Fair treatment of all peoples regardless of race, social status or political affiliation Police and armed forces held accountable Free access to green areas for all Utopian maybe, impossible probably, but hey, one can but dream.
It's not really too much to ask of the universe. I would add one thing, health care freely available to everyone.
Interactions with normally unknown beings such as sasquatch. Fairies. Etc.. & the freedom of flying cars. & ofcourse better health practices. Many of our health problems spring from the way weve lived awhile. We mostly aint @ease in anyway shape or form. So whx should we expect to be healthy in this mess? Quite a miracle that some actually are. I guess some are lucky in having some kinda psychic bubble around themselves.
World wide benevolent socialism with all that would entail, including elimination of bad actors. What Etherea said. Un-contacted humans left alone. Big voluntary reduction in population. Organic farming only. Elimination of bullshit capitalism. All rifles, pistols , machine guns, etc, confined to ranges for pleasure shooting. Several other ideas, but who gives a shit---never happen anyway.
Incorruptible politicians. Now that will never happen. I remember a man saying if all corrupt politicians were in jail, We would have to built more prisons.
At this point it would need to be on another planet, or perhaps in another dimension. We would be free of the material world. Aware, intelligent, loving, free of any material needs. Perhaps discarnate entities that float through the universe moving at the speed of thought. Perhaps we can visit other galaxies, planets, lifeforms, even share consciousness with strange creatures. Or are we already doing that?
What ur describing sounds like ascension. Which yes some humans have done. & some are in the process. There are plenty of beings that have been waiting for us to 2 achieve this. & have subtly helped us toward it.
Ya see, this is part of our pasts too. & we really are only remembering it instead of it being new. We really did lose alot. Such as 900yr more or less lifespans. Tho i dunno how overpopulation would be now were that the case. Was our past population ever this high? Quite obviously we mayve had to expand in the past. If it was this high. & obviously we did descend for whatever reason. Certain parties wish us to remain devolved.
William Penn famously said "Let the people think they govern and they will be governed". Which sounds terrible. But sometimes what you don't know doesn't hurt you. Of course not literally. The people in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World are happy. They just aren't free. Shakespeare sums that last thing up this way: There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
It's hard to answer these sorts of questions. While I can tell you the end result I'd want, I can't even begin to understand the potential consequences from taking the steps necessary to secure my version of utopia. No one talks about the pollution from the recycling industry; no one talks about the limits of organic farming; no one talks about the potential hazards in discarding solar panels; no one talks about the child labor used in cobalt mining to make the batteries for our electric cars. But these are very real issues that would need to be addressed before any attempt at wide spread reform. I feel like when it comes to these sorts of issues, a lot of us draw a line from A to Z while ignoring the 24 letters in between. Does the destination justify the journey? No way to know.
Yes it willbe a humongous mess to clean. & quite honestly the & possibly upcoming possibly higher population would get in the way of cleanup. So, how & where would we put most folks? Another dimension perhaps? & how many would actually resist a relocation?
