hear people talk about tracing effects when theyve taken psychedelics, as a hanging over effect? what is it? is it when you look at things and your eyes put a sort of image of what you were just looking at onto your plain of vision, eventually leading to your vision sort of being subtly colourful and unusual or is it like when you move something and theres a 'ghosting' effect, like a trail?
Have you ever heard of a "tracer" as a bullet? One that, when fired, glows, so you can see the path it is taking during nighttime, to see where you are aiming. A psychadelic tracer is ultimately a similar concept, effectively, the burning of an image into your eyes, causing your eyes to faintly display it a little after you have adjusted your eyes, causing that "ghosting" effect you speak of, so to speak.
tracers are more like random lines or blotches of color... usually get them before you start tripping.. at least thats my experience.
i get it all the time since ive become a big stoner, i can never see anything appear as a plain white surface anymore, its always got colours over it. and ever since i tried dxm one, at a rather low dose (300mg, i fell asleep after 4 hours caus i wasnt feeling anything much more than waht id expect a first plateau) i can make my vision sort of bend, and stretch and stuff, if i stare at something. but i thought this sorta stuff only happened after takin psych's and ive not really had much experience (yet )
especially looking at my computer screen, i can always make it sort of spin and deform, always subtly
hold yer cell phone in front of you face, well like arms length away (can be done with a ciggarette) dont focus too closely on it and move it around real fast. it should leave like glowing lines in its path.
Tracers don't leave a solid trail, they only leave instances at certain increments...here's my shitty ASCII-text explanation: Tracers: = = = = = Trail: ======= Hope that helps. This phenomenon my friends and I usually refer to as "neon paint", and has nothing to do with past drug use...it naturally occours when parts of the retina are exposed to bright light and are suddenly moved into a darker environment.
yeh but i dont think it naturally occurs during all times of the day under the same light amount. it didnt used to happen to me.
