This will be a lot like the 'what are you listening to right now' thread, but instead of just listing the tune.....share a few words about the song. Maybe a review of the song, or memories that it brings back. Or just simply your favorite parts or what you think it's about....anything. I'm listening to Lightning Crashes by Live. It is truly a great song. I've heard the song many times before I actually knew what it was about. Even though I hear the song all the time, I shed a tear everytime I listen to it. It strikes close to home and even though it makes me think about some bad memories, I still love the song.
This is nice. The 'what are you listening to' threads are so useless! No one really cares, no one really reads it. I don't know why people are still posting to that thread, it amounts to nothing. Saying something about the song as well as stating the song itself makes it quite a bit more interesting. I'm not listening to anything right now. No song, at least. The typing of a multitude of keyboards and the banter of people a row behind me. It's boring and I'd play songs with my mp3 player but the earphones are acting weird so I need new ones. You vcan hear the music but sometimes it abruptly softens down a whole lot, and some aspects of the music disappear. It doesn't add to the listening pleasure.
Exactly what I was thinking.....let's just hope people start reading/posting. It's been a couple of days and I think you are the only one to even read it.
i dont think they're useless. i read them and then download a few. it helps expand your tastes, see. anyways, im listening to If I Could by Jack Johnson, and its always depressing since its a lot like whats happened in my family recently, with someone close dying, but then a new baby being born like a light in the dark.
Thats what I had in mind when I started this thread, but seeing how I have dial up and it takes a half hour to download a damn song.....I would appreciate reading a brief description, or some emotions that the song prevokes before I put that kind of time into it. I don't see why this thread isn't booming like the other ones. I was kinda looking forward to created something that lasted a hundred or so posts, guess I'll have to try again.
well ill help it out again im listenin to Vera by Pink Floyd, and it always gives me good memories of summer break and stuff, dont ask me why. nexxxttt
coincidently I'm listening to the happiest days of our lives by Pink Floyd which reminds me of the exact same thing
right now, im listning to Remind Me, by Royksopp. i think its about trying to find old friends. its a cool little tune. its on a Geico commercial too, heh
Give Peace A Chance Good sone, one of my favorite Lennon songs, love how it was written, at a bed in of all places, and its message. (I'm actually watching a movie about the peace bed ins they did)
Scars of the Crucifix, by Deicide. Perhaps the heaviest riffs ever made. Has an out of place solo, but it's a really good one nonetheless.
I'm listening to Who'll Stop the Rain by CCR. Whenever the last verse comes around I think of Woodstock. I wonder if John Fogerty was thinking about it when he wrote it. He was there, after all.
I'm listening to Fade to Black by Metallica Though the lyrics are of the same tone as a suicide note, the guitars are so beautiful. When I listen to this song, I go down into the troubled mind. I realize what it's like to have nothing to live for, but when the guitars hit me I bounce back up and realize......music. Music is what I live for.
i didnt notice this thread, but i like the idea alot better...even though i just made a new "make a comment..." thread. oh well, i can reply to both The Breeders - Cannonball I dig it, its a good rock song. I got quite a bit into the breeders after not bringing any pixies with me to where i was last living. Now i almost listen to the breeders more then the pixies
lol I just saw your other thread, but I don't know the last song posted Now I'm listening to a Slightly Stoopid Instrumental called zeplike. This song is fuckin awesome, it reminds me so much of a mellow LedZeppelin tune but with more laid back drums. I use this tune for inspiration for writing, it has such a wonderful melody.
Kylie Minogue - more, more, more Uh. It's fun. I like the squeak after the last 'more' in one of the choruses.
