I just checked my bank account, and I am not happy of my remaining balance. I spent over $250 in one- two weeks , and this is not including bills. Just random stuff, like taxi, food.

Now I am planning to save.

Go to the grocery, and buy food that last me a month.

Cook instead of buying take out. And buy take out only Friday-Saturday.

Walk to places that is close distance to my house instead of taking a cab.

Buy at least two work clothes every two weeks.

Yes, you have to have a plan and avoid impulse buying.

I just.. don't spend money. I don't really have any urges to ever spend money really so I just don't. All you have to do is get in that 'I really don't give a good, honest shit' mindset and all will be well

Fruits, breads, vegetables meats and milk won't last for a month, so that's 5 food groups.

I guess dried pasta and canned soup will.

as for eating at work i just bring some micro waveable burrito instead of getting fast food at a place next door. Im saving money for my tattoo righ tnow and i put it in an envelope and locked it in my fisher price baby tool box :D i keep it in there so i dont carry any aroud with me so its easy not to spend it. you can send your money to me and ill keep it safe and make sure you dont spend it :)

My car has karked it on me so in order to save enough to buy a used one I've got to be a total tight ass with money for a month or two. I'm great at saving when I really need to; I basically live off of tinned tuna, packet pasta, two minute noodles and veggies. Most of the rest of my $$$ goes to feeding my kitty.

    Rosey not Ernie?? :(

I automatically transfer money into a different account, but unless I'm determined to save money, I'm left with $0 in both accounts at the end of the week.

I'm trying to save now, I'm doing alright this first week :p

Don't really save my money yet.. Rent , cannabis, vinyls, food and nights out with friends take up most of my cash, and I usually spend all of my paycheck before the next one. You can only enjoy the life you're living once, so why not spend your cash (unless you're saving up for something)? What's the use of having it if you don't use it.

I do it the other way...im self employed and can work whenever i want..if i want (or sometimes if i can)

so when i need money i do some work

    i dont save any

for the times when i cant work but need money i just use credit line or credit card then pay it back when im feeling better and able to work

You can have your bank put your money into CD's.. I don't remember what CD stands for lol but it locks your money into some kind of high interest bullshit for 12-36 months
