To be honest, I don't do as much as I should. I recycle and go organic when possible and I'm a vegetarian. I'm still trying to get away from using water bottles, but the water in this city tastes disgusting. What does everyone else do?
Try to reuse all plastic and glass bottles/containers that I get. Bike to places that are close by, support local farmers $$$. Compost.
loose vegan/strict vegetarian, compost, recycle, bike/walk, buy local produce, cloth TP, quick showers (and not every day): water on-get wet-turn water off-soap up-rinse. done. reuse everything i can, no plastic water bottles
I need to do more, but as of right now I recycle, take very time saving showers, reuse things, bought a reusable water bottle, walk when i can, and grow a garden
Recycle, vegetarian, eat organic, use eco friendly light bulbs, use my reusable shopping bag and I use my watter bottle instead of buying plastic. My family has an awesome organic vegetable garden in their backyard too. I want to start using the recycled paper products too. And I try to offer car pooling when possible and I'm the obnoxious guy who makes myspace bulletins about signing some greenpeace petition lol.
buying recyclable products like greenwise toilet paper, loose leaf paper, etc. try to use natural products more than ones with chemicals in them. not sure if it helps the environment but i dont use shampoo (apple cider vinegar and baking soda).
I try to warm it up like crazy because there's another ice age approaching and we gotta delay that shit.
I want to use nothing but recycled toilet paper and other paper products, but how do you justify the expense?
I recycle, reuse. I don't drink milk; I drink soymilk. I keep my meat consumption to a minimum. I don't litter. I eat wholesome foods, not junk. I ride a bicycle.
I'm a vegetarian. I buy local, recycle, and reuse things. I have time constraints, so I have to drive, but I drive a very small car. I wish I could use public transportation.
I get my clothes from lost and founds. Have not bought a single clothing item for 5 years. I eat a raw vegan diet. I take warm showers. I use the bus almost always. I also eat reduced produce so that it does not go to waste and I do not need to buy any other food. (I have to go to the store about, 3-4 times a week though...but its only five minutes away.
I recycle and conserve water and electricity as much as possible. I only shower every other day, and I cut back on hot water. I don't drive but instead car pool, ride my bike, or walk anywhere I need to. I only use recycled paper goods and earth-friendly household and personal care products. I'm a vegetarian. I also plan on starting a vegetable and herb garden (again) within a year so that I can rely less on grocery stores to get what I need to eat. I used to have a great garden at my last place, but I had leave to it behind when I moved. I eat organic foods and local produce as much as possible. I don't buy bottled water and I never use plastic shopping bags. I avoid anything with chemicals and I never use pesticides in the garden. Ever.
We have installed a solar power system in our log cabin, we harvest rain water for our gardens, only led and cfl bulbs for lighting, we recycle all glass/metal/aluminum/paper and cardboard, conserve water with shower on off valve, on demand gas water heater, raise our own veggies....on n on....
I bike when I can, recycle everything, pescatarian, take few short showers, buy local, support environmental organizations, try to vote correctly and manage an 18 hole private golf/country club grounds the most environmentally sound way that I can.
I recycle. Take public transportation when I can. Use reusable bags instead of plastic. Buy new products made from recycled materials. Does anyone here use low flow toilets, shower heads, or kitchen fixtures? I've lowered my water consumption in my place by 40%.
