I drove a Coke truck for many years in the detroit ghetto. After witnessing countless robberies. I knew one driver shot and killed in the line of duty. That was enough. Cashed in my 401 and bought houses. I pretty much have retired from real working. Trying to sell the houses to land contracts. Raising my young daughter and still trying to get the hell out of detroit. 5 years ago I found a beautiful tiny oceanfront studio condo for the price of a used pick up truck. I hope to retire there ASAP.

It's not a living but I'm trying to fix up this old house I just bought... That's enough work for now.

@Tysonwood......very correct. From a ROI standpoint , depending on your location , you could have a potential 100% flip. Far more beneficial than working for some one.

Anything somebody in the UK would have heard of?

I'm not working at the moment...
I was a security guard for 5 years but had to leave due to work drying up...
It was ok - but it ruins your social life, and it drains your spirit after a while (long hours and not many days/nights off)
On the upside - lots of time to do what ever I wanted.
Wish I'd used the time to work out, as now I'm 12lbs heavier than I want to be, and it's a pain in the rear to try and shift it.
I'm working out every day now, and things are looking on the physique front...

I would like to work for myself repairing PCs...

I'm just doing an online course at the moment...nothing too exciting.

You did a pretty good job sucking it in on the 4th one, Odie.

Damn, I don't remember your gut being that big, but congrats on the loss. I know it feels good.

    Wow! Nicely done!

To answer OP, I started a home daycare in April. Before that, I was in pharmacy/nuclear medicine as a tech for seven years.

Good job! I got rid of 45lbs two years ago, and have kept it off, so I have tons of respect for the hard work it takes.

P.s. Just make sure losing that weight doesn't make you gain a shitty personality, k? ;)
