Pretend like I'm not checking out the ladies. They aren't fooled, and I don't care.

mostly wonder why I came and try to get sand out of uncomfortable places. (if I'm alone)
actually have a good time (if I'm with someone I'm fond of)

my mum and i one day when i was young we got caught in a rip tide. being from the mountains, we didn't realise or know what to do.
We were on a sand bar having the time of our lives, next minute we couldn't touch the bottom. we freaked out, the beach was far away now. She picked me up by my waist and screamed SWIM JOCELYN SWIM!
i swam straight up the guts, made shore, i was hysterical, I was laughing nonsensical i ran to the nearest strong looking man and said my mum is out there please help. he boogie board out to her, said swim this way. they got her out, we collapsed on the beach. then we were told to swim to the sides.

Never really been back into the ocean, only on a boogie board. my mum will never go.

    it was pretty scary.

oh man. rip tides suck. if you ever get stuck in one, don't fight directly into it. swim 'across' it. you'll still get pushed out, but not as far, and you'll get yourself out of it without hopefully wearing yourself out.

we know that now :p oh i was exhausted going up the middle, it took me a while too. can't imagine what mum was thinking all out on her own, well actually she thought about me only in her stories.
it was just weird, it was so exhausting, so emotional that i could only laugh i watched them paddle out, i had music stuck in my head, sad music. i sat there laughing. in tears.

I don't know why I ever did that.

    panic, probably.

moot point for me. I sink no matter how hard i try to swim, and a life vest makes no difference.. so if i get caught off my feet, I'm dead anyway.

hey even a elephant can swim :p i am not a bad swimmer, but i much prefer rivers and fresh water. rapids etc. go down that on tractor tubes :D or on your own.. part of the reason my shins are so fucked up and scarred :p

density issues. doc said I'd sink in the dead sea, according to the float tests. sclerosteosis (increased bone density) is apparently a bitch.

I try to just avoid water deeper than my chest. lol. (don't mind a good bit of fishing, though)

yeah there's something up with the dead sea isn't there? lots of salt or something make it weird and nothing lives in it. I might be confused with something else. a looooot of shit has gone through my brain over the years.
i wanted to join the pool to help my back, but i couldn't find anything i wanted to wear in public. i was thinking a wet suit, or like the one with arms and legs chopped halfway but when i went to the pool i realised i'd look pretty dumb. it's not that the bikinis type stuff intimidates me, i can pull that off too, but it's just not me. so then i thought ahh singlet top and board shorts. ;) it just didn't eventuate though. i still might. -shrug-

it's the densest body of water on the planet due to the salt content. nothing lives in it, and it's 'effortless' to float in it. and I still wouldn't float.

you can't look any more dumb than 300 pound hairball dude wearing a tank top.

  14. Last time I kept trying to throw a dead jellyfish back into the ocean. Well, I think it was dead. How do you tell? It's a jellyfish.

Well if you were swimming earlier today at Longnook beach in North Truro, MA you were covering your jewels
because there was a Great White Shark attack. And yes it's a nude beach, or at least it used to be.

    Jump in the water
    Hang out
    Contemplate everything
    Meditate
    Look for agates
Look for valuable items - I once found a $50 floating in the ocean waves
