Me and two other friends went into an old bathroom at school and smoked a bowl(I know, stupidest idea ever). I'm not known as a ''pot smoker'' to my teachers/principal, but my other two friends are. So, about 5 minutes after we smoked the principal and several kids walked in and noticed it smelled like weed. My other two friends had a chat with the principal(they're obvious), and EVERYONE knows about the smell. And right above the bathroom doors is a camera. So if I have a chat tomorrow with cops, principals, teachers, etc., what do I do? I'm 100% TOTALLY not gonna confess, that's just stupid. So do I act like I never smoked weed in my life? Do I tell him it smelled like pot before I went in there? What do I do to avoid getting busted?

If they caught you on camera, you'll be screwed no matter what you say. You'll be better off if you confess and apologize sincerely. Smoking inside of school is the dumbest thing you can do. Just bend over and take whatever they give you.

The most they can do is drug test you to validate you, but I'm not sure if they have the liability to do so. I would deny it if they have no real evidence, camera's aren't "high-dars", though hmm I don't know, he did see you with sketchy kids so they might think you were with them if you walked in at the same time. So I don't know what's in your hands, I used to always deny things initially myself in school lol. If they don't ask you any questions then don't say anything. If they haven't spoken to you already I don't see why they'd do that now, unless your friends ratted you out.

smoking in a school bathroom with cameras, I'd say you got yourself in some hot water, make sure you have nothing on you next time your in school, it sounds like you are caught red handed, I would tell the truth, lying will only make yourself look more guilty

I don't think he meant he was caught on camera smoking... the camera would be outside the bathroom. So unless he was obviously going in with them as buddies, there should be no problem saying he wasn't smoking, and any smell is just off of what was in the room itself.

Well, no problem besides the lack of intelligence showed by smoking there in the first place...

    deny deny deny...

if they try to bring charges on you, put it on your permanent record, or suspend you... you have to call your parents or get a lawyer in there. dont let the school fuck you over if they have no evidence. if you play it right then theyll have no choice but to drop the whole deal, because 1. this kind of thing is bad publicity 2. court cases are expensive and schools dont have the resources.

they push you, you push back.

    Nope

Also, ugh, please tell me why it seemed like an ok idea to do a very noticeable drug in the school bathroom that would obviously make everything around the bathroom smell like weed

Remember the kid in Alaska that was suspended for holding up a pro pot sign?

Students in pre-college schools are not subject to the same rights as adults are under the law.

Deny, deny, deny. You might have to get a lawyer if they try to suspend, expel, or put something on your permanent record, like someone said.

All they have is smell. So is it not your word against theirs. Smell is not evidence in court it can not be proven, so unless you are on camera I'd say just play innocent. It's true the school does not have the time and most important money to fight you on this.

They are hoping you will be so scared you will just confess.
