Just curious and a well a little nosey about what you did and where did you go barefoot today. Kind of like comparing the different places we all go barefoot. I'll go first for Saturday which I don't work so I like to get all my errands done. In the morning I went to the barbers, greetings cards shop, homeware shop, supermarket, petrol station. Then came home and walked the dogs along some nearby walking paths and the park about 2 miles. In the afternoon I just went on another walk but this time in a nearby nature reserve and we've just had a bit of rain so it was damp and in some places waterlogged and muddy underfoot.
Seems like in the US we are the devil if you go barefoot in all those places, People are strange, especially if you're a stranger.
Oh no! That's such a shame. I'd say here in England people either don't care or don't want to confront you about my bare feet
Been barefoot all day. Went to the mailbox and then to get a pizza wearing nothing until I got near the pizza shop. Tossed a cover over me, got the pizza, and headed home. Cover came off as soon as I left the parking lot. Barefoot all the way.
Easter weekend holidays are nearly over and I've happily spent all 4 days in my bare feet (bare everything else at home). Not really been beyond 5 miles from my home and on each day I have done probably 10 miles a day worth of walking staggered throughout the days. I'm fortunate enough to have a variety of country parks and woods local to where I live.
Great! What was the ground like underfoot? I'm not a runner these days but I ran cross country in high school and always was running in bare feet.
It feels pretty good. I especially like it when the asphalt is warm, not hot, in late afternoons. Just feels good on my feet for some reason.
Ahh yes I know that warm asphalt feeling. Nice on a summers late afternoon or early evening after the sun has been warming it up all day. Even better if there's a splash of rain too just to lubricate and cool down the surface.
Well today's been quite good considering its a workday. I have been out on the road visiting a customer so first thing it was a barefoot drive down the motorway to get to my destination stopping off for a cheeky bacon buttie along the way at the fine UK bakery Greggs! Ate it inside barefoot without issues. Then I called in at my customer and sadly it was steel toe caps for that call but once I was out I was back in the car and barefoot for the drive back. On the way back I stopped off for a quick break at a service station and now I'm working from home and happily barefoot. There's one last barefoot dog walk to the park tonight then the days over.
I had to go out in the yard and untangle the dog from the tree. Since I was bare so were my feet. So begins the day.
Yea, the pup is fine. Chased a squirrel up the tree and wrapped the lead around the trunk a few times. There is a nice chill in the air so I didn't stay out long. Plans are to enjoy the area later today. Nude of course.
Today was a good day to be barefoot. We had a town fair here in my hometown, and since the skies decided to grace us with a nice +27 Celcius (80,6 Fah) sunny weather, I left the shoe thingies in my car and barefooted the whole day in the venue. I spotted 3 other members of our tribe. A cute redhead girl, maybe in her early 20's, who was selling candy on a stall in jean cutoff shorts and bare feet. Her soles were also appropriately dirty for apparently having spent the whole day in her bare feet. I'm also pretty sure that she noticed my own lack of footwear. Her elated facial expression told as much. I thought about giving her a comment, but ultimately couldn't. Her goods were selling like hotcakes and she had a busy time tending to other clients' needs and wants as well, so I left it at that. I ended up buying a bag of licorice, and a slushie drink from her specifically just to reward her a bit for keeping the barefoot spirit alive. The two other barefooters I witnessed were an elderly gentleman, who quite obviously didn't give a shit, and another sassy looking lady, also in shorts, who was there with her hubby, whose feet were very much stuck in boots. Between the 4 of us, there was almost a crowd of barefooters present at the scene. The venue conveniently also provided an outdoor gym, so I decided to spend an hour and a half of my life doing today's exercises with the provided equipment. Later that day, I went to the local movie theater to watch a showing of the Latest Indiana Jones-movie, Dial of Destiny. Both times barefoot, of course. When I finally emerged from the movie theater, it had started to rain, so I ended the day wading trough rain water puddles to reach my car, satisfied that I didn't have to worry about doing so, because I made the very smart choice of being barefoot today.
