    My PC is officially retarded...

I have an Athlon XP 2000+ (1.6 GHz real), a socket A/462 Gigabyte motherboard, a FX5200 128MB graphics card, 1024 of DDR SDRAM and an 80 gig HDD...

I'm upgrading to an Intel Quad Core Extreme processor with an 8800 GTX nVidia GPU and 4GB of ram next month. I'll get the DX10 GPU in a few months too. This will come with a 52 inch HD plasma TV for gaming and movies.

Heres a quick movie displaying one of the first DX10 games in development combined with quad core processing. http://youtube.com/watch?v=DetnKgOxrSI

First off her name is Dell short for Della

    She's 3 years old
    She's occasionally fickle
Last Winter she came down with a 24 hour virus, but Dr. Norton
makes house calls (she's fine now)
She was clocked and ticketed by the State Police, while driving down the vast Internet Super highway at speeds topping 10.0 Mbps

I scored a laptop for cheap a while back and it turned into my primary system when my desktop produced a pugnant, component burn smell either from the power supply or the vid card that was underpowered even with a 450 watt p.s. ....laptop is a Compaq P4, gig o' ram, 60 gig hd.

The house server is a standard 2.4 P4 with qty.(5) 250 gb satas in a standard RAID 5 which produces 9.9 tb.

I have no plans for upgrades to the system(s) hardware at this time, but I'm in the process of wiring & cabling in the house for UPS circuits, ATS & generation, solar panels to charge the battery banks, and a spare wind plant just in case.

As for Internet access, a backup dish or cellular is never a bad idea, and always have a shortwave radio on hand...just in case.... :)

i've got what will do for now.
i could always want even need more ram, bigger/more drive(s),
    faster cpu ...

specialy since the main thing i like to do is make 3d worlds and i wish i could
share those in broadband and we could all walk arround in the ones each other
of us create. ain't no way i can forsee having the power to do that, at least not
unless and untill the day comes when we all can and do

i'm just thankful for sufficient goodness of fortune and friendliness of the unseen,
however, whoever, whatever it/they might be, for what i do have, which, belive me,
there have been times in my life i've not had.

i'm also thankful for the rising and setting of the sun, and i think i might actualy notice
if it were to rise in the west and set in the east

    =^^=

I have an Asus A8N32- SLI Deluxe motherboard, an AMD Athlon FX 64-bit processor, a CoolerMaster Hyper 48 cooling fan for my processor, a couple of slow-ass harddrives (110 Gigs in all), and...whatever CD burner came with my old eMachine. I think I've got 512 MB of really shitty memory (may be more if Dan put in one of his memory cards), and fuck if I even remember what kinda video card is in there. But my computer = beast. Haha. I'm so excited about finally getting it back...which I have no idea when that will be. Dammit.
