What are your dreads doing while you sleep?

So how do you sleep with your dreads?
Which is the best for your dreads?
I've always slept with my dreads in a ponytail/bun thing but recently I have been sleeping with them out hoping maybe they will knot up better.

 

i always just leave them out and free. othing to hinder them then. sometimes i forget i have them tied up but aside from that.

Yup my hair is always down.. unless I forget to take it out of the bun... doesn’t happen too often though... or some times I like sleeping with this big fluffy colorful hat

 

I let em go. I rarely pull my dreads up to begin with, unless eating or if it is reall windy. I wear a tam alot and fall alseep with that on sometimes, but it always falls off during the night!

 

i just let em go wild, when i wake up and hang out a bit they always fall back into place =)

 

I leave them down so the faeries can come at night and knot them up some more *smiles*

 

he he he....funny you mention faeries DancerAnnie.....when i was a little girl, my grandma always told me that it was the faeries that put the knots in my hair while i slept.

 

i just leave them free, but i lift them up above my head, so that they're out of my way.

 

Heh heh, I sleep with them on my dresser.

i picked "with them back" cuz i wear a dreadband to keep them out of my face

 

i just leave them loose to do whatever, just push them up over my head as well, so they don't get in the way

 

me locks get tuggy if they're tied back - don't like the breakage - I keep 'em down & free.......however they sometimes get caught on things, like get stuck between the bed post and the wall that don't feel good

 

I have to pull them back because i dont want them to get caught and possibly pull out my industrial

 

Part of the reason I pull mine back is because of a piercings as well.. my nape

 

mine are very long so i throw em up hangin over the headboard..theyre pretty thick too so if i just left em down under my back they hurt my back... but usualy when i'm camping i use em asa pillow & just arrange em under my neck & head & after a few min of adjusting they make a very confy pillow
