One in a string of movies back in the 80s about superheroes and villains alike who were exposed to toxic waste like Robocop, The Toxic Avenger, C.H.U.D., Batman …etc.…
It was a documentary that primarily focused on the TMNT action figures but it did discuss the comic book origins, tv shows and movies.
Pen15. This show is achingly nostalgic. It is 100% my early teen experience. The Delia's cargo skirts, the BFF friendship, the crushes and rejections, the first time trying a cigarette, the AIM conversations, the painful awkwardness! It's all there!
Funny how certain shows just capture your existence. If Gilmore Girls and Pen 15 were to have a baby, that baby would be as close to my real life as a show could get. Ya know minus the millionaire grandparents and the heteronormative existence. Oh and Yale. I could never get into Yale. Pen 15 is what Rory and Lane should have been
Rory was a bit too goody goody for my taste the first time I watched Gilmore Girls as a teenager. I liked Lane better because she was a little edgier, was into music and played in a band and her boyfriend was cooler than Dean. Then I liked Rory more when I rewatched the show when I was older because I wish I had been more like her in high school haha..but secretly I also like that she became a typical underachieving millenial in the revival
I didn't hate what they did to Rory (apparently those last "3 words" were always supposed to be the ending of the show) but I hated how Lane's story turned out. She was too big for Stars Hollow. She was supposed to be a rock star. I understand she got pregnant young...with twins...on her wedding night...while losing her virginity (seriously the later seasons in general were kinda bad really) but she still should have had that rock star life. She also should have married Dave. Anyway to see that 10 years later she was basically her mom was soul crushing. At least Paris found success. Also, the revival needed way more Sookie tho I totally understood going off the grid to come up with new recipes Also TJ. I could never get enough of Luke and TJ interacting My social media feeds were blowing up because Lauren Graham and Melissa McCarthy were spotted together the other day. The whole world is in my opinion wishfully thinking that means more seasons of the revival
Did you see the new one? Margot Robbie is sexy, lol, but I'm not running out to the theater. Looking forward to seeing it on Netflix or DVD!
The Universe: Alien Galaxies Dozed in and out of it. I woke up early and wanted to go back to sleep and so I put that on as background noise more or less but I got through a fair amount of it.
It’s inspiring Robbie has gotten so far in the film industry despite her obvious physical limitations.
This show has me in my feels. She's so relatable. And I love these sly looks she gives as she breaks through the 4th wall, as if we're all just sharing an inside joke
