My coworker who’s about 10 years older than me, said he used to go to 2nd hand stores and take the cassette tapes out of the answering machines that people forgot to remove, and listen to them with his girlfriend.

Man, that would’ve been an awesome way to entertain your date back in the day. You’re hard pressed to find any answering machines for sale at any second hand store today. Maybe an antique mall someday.
