I was watching the Sopranos tonight and there was one scene where Carm made these sandwiches for AJ and she called them "Lincoln Log" sandwiches. They looked like split hot dogs on a bun with butter spread on them. Gross. Does anyone know what these are?
I really don't watch TV.... aside from the Sopranos and the weather forecast. Other than that, I don't watch it at all. I don't even have cable. As it is, I watched the Sopranos over at my mom and dad's.
Ah I see, I am similar. I don't have cable and never watch TV at home, but I do watch a few shows once a week at my boyfriend's house. The more I stay away from TV, the more in touch with reality I feel.
I saw her pack away the cream cheese. My husband said she just makes food for the heck of it even if no one wants it. Tony did look happy to see the dogs there when he got home till he heard AJ.
That's sweet, Chief. Sometimes I will make toe burgers out of hot dogs for the kids. Slice a weenie in half lengthwise and widthwise, and put it on a hamburger bun.
they're not hot dogs. you use beef or chicken, chopped with a lil bit of celery, salt and pepper. add enough chicken stock to moisten it all up, then roll the mixture into longish log shapes and roll 'em around in bread crumbs. deep fry 'em and then serve a bunch together with a plain white sauce dribbled on top. putting them on white bread is optional. looks like lincoln logs with mortar on 'em and taste downright white-trash-like.
