    I consider myself an Atheist...
    but I believe in astrology,
and I see some merit in crystal healing, holistic working, energy healing,
and I even believe *gasp* that there might be some form of an afterlife...
Like perhaps our consciousness might live on... I dunno

    what am I? Just crazy?

no why do you say that? astrology like energy of stars, suns is just devine energy, youre for me more religious than most "religious" people but religious in a neutral means.

There's no rules that say Atheists can't have spirituality or unproven beliefs.

You don't even have to believe science has merit -- you just have to not believe in gods.

Why do you have a need to label yourself? I get called lots of things (most recently "taint", for 'taint Christian, 'taint agnostic, har har") for considering myself Christian but not believing in most of the things traditional Christians believe in. I must say, I find it curious that you can disbelieve in a deity but believe in all those other things, but as long as you have your own reasons and aren't pushing your beliefs on others, that's okay with me.

Yep, this is what I think.

When I was a teenager, I wanted labels for everything - to be able to define myself by one word. Now, I see you don't need that. You don't need to fit into a box, we weren't made box shaped.

Does everyone always have to be something?
I have just accepted the fact that I believe in energy.
I believe you should live your life and just formulate your ideas before you decide what to label your self.
    But thats just my opinion.

    i would say your inconsistent.

why do you not believe in god (athiesm)? hopefully it was because you applied the scientific method and it does not make sense.

but then why dont you apply the same kind of logic to crystal healing, holistic working, energy healing, and even gasp, the afterlife?

so, if you ask me, your inconsistent.

you are an awaireness that exists. interacting with this universe through a body you are, for this life, connected to. fitting in is meaningless.

a buddhist might say there is no in or out for you to fit.
they might also say there is no you and no not you, although that is also called solipsism or something like that, and i would slightly disagree on a matter of technicality.

but even what you are might be a little beside the point as well.

rather let whatever flows out from you, be such that when summed into the great statistical tao, contribute to the incentives that make what everyone has to experience less negative and more positive, then would result from indifference to this effect.

this is not for me, nor for some priest or book, but rather because you, like each of us, are part of the experiencing of it.
