another vote for Guns of Brixton... years ago I couldn't stand the song, but it's since grown on me and it's definitely one of my faves now.
My first Clash album was London Calling when I was into punk, and I was like, "What the hell is this 80s shit?" But yeah, it grows on you... Now it's definitely one of my favorite albums.

Best early British punk band - they're what really started punk's evolution into a movement - but never really grabbed my interest much. I respect what they've done, but I find their music too simple, and their sound sorta boring.
