You'd probably trip, depending on the alkaloid content of the leaves and just how much of what MAOI you took.
It seems, based on what I've been reading, that 3.5 to 5 grams of syrian rue would be an appropriate amount of MAOI. But I'd have no idea about the alkaloid content of the leaves. I have seen such huge variance in the reported dosages on erowid...from 10 grams or so up to 100...and it didn't seem to make any consistent difference. I guess that part comes down to luck. From what I've read, overdoing the viridis isn't that big a problem if you know your trips and how to let go. But overdoing the rue can be tragic, with some lingering effects lasting weeks or more. Does that seem right to you? Thanks for your response, too. It's hard to get this kinda help here. It's understandable, but if I could find out on my own without actually doing it, I would. But, of course, actually doing it would be illegal and I would never do that. I'm just asking for research purposes only.
And I know this is irritating because the tea is not hard to make and the recipes are all over the place...but I've got reasons for asking that I can't get into.
