Obviously I've no idea about motivation and such, but otherwise I do actually agree with the information he's presenting. Well apart from the 'so you might as well exploit battery hens' implication.

Our family use free range eggs. Have to make the best of a bad situation I suppose.

this was clearly a satirical site.

you can tell by his goofy picture.

He's he an ex-friend because he refuses to kowtow to your ideals about animal-rights? or is it much deeper then that?(hopefully it is deeper because that would be just sad.)

I noticed his sources were United Poultry Concerns.I hate that group and I hate that bitch Karen(I forgot her last name)

A quote she made about 9-11 goes right up there with Jerry Falwell's quote about 9-11.

she said 9-11 was a good thing because it probably eliminated 3000 chicken eaters.

Incidentily..this crackhead is best friends with Ingrid Newkirk...the president of PeTA.between the two of them...I have seen more hate spewed then from Osama Bin Laden and Jerry Falwell combined.

this is one of the reasons I am not a PeTA supporter or a supporter of UPC.

they can both burn in the fiery pits of chicken hell.

Oh...and all my eggs are Amish and/or Organic.

I'd agree with him actually. You don't know that free range chickens are treated better, unless you have seen their living quarters with your own two eyes. I am going to get chickens for eggs this summer. The best way to get eggs is from local farms where you can see the chickens and how they are treated. plenty of products are labeled "cruelty free", "free range" or "organic" but aren't. It's a marketing ploy.

I know you all will jump me for this, but I hate chickens. They deserve to be eaten. Nasty, stinky mean critters that attack little girls when their mom sends them out to collect eggs before the crack of dawn. Yes, that was my chore as a girl on a farm, took both me and my brother to get the eggs collected and the chickens fed, cuz we had this mean rooster named Stringbean that would attack us every morning - so one of us would run to do the chores and the other protect us with a stick! I was so glad when my mom finally gave him the ax!

Actually, instead of chickens, I have had some of those white ducks for eggs (now that i'm grown) - and the eggs are HUGE, very rich in flavor, and the males don't crow at 3 am. My male duck - Mr. Shitter - was mean, but at least he didn't have claws to rake me with. Duck bites are a lot easier to deal with :)
