wet dreads

so is it not good for my dreads to be wet lets say i shower and get em wet im mean soaked but i dont wash em is that bad lets say i do this like five days out tha week is that bad also i would wash them once out of that five days???

 

They'll be fine. Though I wouldnt recomend getting them wet that often.

I havent used any kind of soap for the past 2 and half years and mine turned out fine. I just occasionally give them a good rinse.

Just make sure to let them dry fully afterwards

 

especialy b4 u put em in a hat lr tie em up
i often let em air dry which takes 38 hours..no problem
durring rweally hot weather i dump water over my head all day to cool down..but it dries so fast when its over 90

in winter i try to only get em wet once a week and blow dry em slowly over many hours

if u used wax..and are not 100% sure u got every bit out id be extra careful with making sure they dryu well as wax can trap water just like dirt and can lead to mold
it doesnt always..and if it does its usualy noty for a couple years or so, but the possibility is increased so u shoulfd be extra careful

 

i didnt use wax on them
and i get them wet because they feel oily
and look better when i get out tha shower

 

I rinse every other day with warm water and just use rosemary tea 2-3 times a week for dandruff and my hairs fine. If you wanna get them wet everyday go for it. Its not going to ruin your dreads.

 

Getting them wet isn't going to damage them. Just make sure you're completely drying your head when you do.

 

like mandy uses rosemary tea rinces for dandruff,. u can use thyme tea rinces for oiliness
it will make your scalp produce lerss oils

Blowdry them for hours! fuck me would you not rather sit in front of the fire?

my boyfs dreads got really wet once when we were camping and it rained and it was cold.So we could'nt get them dry.They started to smell I could not even sleep by him without smelling them bleugh....................

 

I get so bloody cold waiting for mine to dry, and they aren't even long yet *shivers*

 

put some clothes on?!
