    mmmhuh... wellington eh..

Karori Wildlife Sanctuary, Wellington Zoo, umm.. oh man Staglands (pet and feed smelly dirty animals.. although that's what flatmates are for), Cable Car (not very exciting, pretty much every student has ridden it coz Vic is up a stupid hill), but then you could check out the Botanic Gardens if you like flowers..
Oriental Parade is a bit of alright, Te Papa is wicked cool.

Mmm, check out Cuba St for the boho area in Wellington.

I'm trying to think of things that will be on in june/july but nothing is coming to mind. Unless there's art galleries and theatre productions you are interested in - Wellington is supposedly the Arts Capital of NZ

Get trashed at trashy Zebos - everyone has to do that once.

I tried saying boobs 10x fast, but it began to sound like i was trying to beat-box, then i began to say spoon..

lol, yeah we should have an awesome nz forum whanau reunion at zebos.

and so go to te papa, go play in the glowworm cave.

the cable car isn't that bad - the views are so purty.

and yeah go to cuba for general awesomeness - including the sexy cool bucket fountain (yeah the one that elijah wood peed in)

and you shoud go to Ed's Juice Bar to refuel yourself for welly exploring. their food is so good and the smoothies are to die for (the best part is nothing sentient actually died for them - they are all vegan, as in no milk just yum juice )

oh man.. zebos.. that has to be the scariest pub.. Im never going there again..

Umm hey down by the tepapa waterfront there's that ship theyre sinking, we weren't sure (it might have even been sunk already) but i think they let you on and you can have a look around it and stuff..

If you've got time and wan to go to a cafe, go to midnight expresso on cuba st. mmmm vegan cake

edit: post by atropine, silly computer!

    gah stupid zebos..

our hostel had a big thing arranged with them.. they were supose to have a big barbeque for us, with a veg alternative.. got there, and since it was a bar (even though we were all seperately outside) they wouldnt let anyone 17 in (there goes a 1/4 of us) and then decides that international IDs arent legit so wouldnt let in any foreigners unless they were stupid enough to take their passports to the pubs (there goes another 1/4).. then we find out that our tab is non-existant (which i dont care about), our great barbeque is sausages on bread with no veg alternative, and all the while our private function is open to the world.. needless to say our R.A. was the only one to stay since she had to.. but she was gone asap...

so we all hate zebos.. only time weve been since our mate stole glasses.. although he had just walked out of the kumura with some guys full jug so glasses aint bad.. dunno how he walked out with that jug.. the whole group didnt even see him knab it..

lol yeah they are pretty anal with id it seems - and yet i always see 16, 17 yr olds in there. I just like because of cheap as chips cocktails and an 80s dancefloor.

the whole matching/ogm bois!!/skanks/trand whore thing never did it for me. I don't know why. It just scares me. It doesn't matter how happy I am or what ive been doing previously, whenever I go into zebos i curl up into a little ball and die inside. It puts me in the weirdest moods.

oooh, back to the original thingie

2 nerdy-fun things in welly these holidays:
1)the exhibition at te papa of drawings - it's from the royal collection, and includes stuff from holbein to hockney

    2) this shakespeare thingie with the lovely Oliver Driver - it's all of Shakespeare's plays in 97 minutes, performed by 3 actors. Awesome.

Zebos is a G-fest now with rap music pumping so loud your shizz gets squeesed out your ears.

but the haven for the less hip people is still the 90's room (the 80's room was upgraded by ten years)
