I tied my hair up and took some pics today-
My hair is shrinking.funky and frizzy-loose hairs get caught and everything and each other sort of driving me nutty

I love your dreads! They're the perfect width. I'm not a huge fan of really thick dreads.

 

oh they have progressed a lot O.O i can't even belive it, since the month shot was less than a month ago, right?

They are 2 months 1week and and some odd days - I just checked.wow. is that right?
lol yeah, I thought it had been longer. It feels like longer. My hair has always tangled like crazy, I shoulda gave up and dreaded years ago.

Oh-hell if I know. I have always seen /heard they get tend to get thicker as they mature and new hair grows and tangles into to them - and to start dreads thinner.
could be wrong though really. LOL.

and I think yours will stay pretty thin actually, you have fine hair. My thinner dreads have stayed pretty thin.

 

Err. I hope you're wrong haha. I love thinner dreads. I'm growing my hair out long again in hopes of getting em. Unfortunately I'll only have about 2 years of freedom to do whatever i want to my hair. Then its job time, and i have a feeling dreads isn't what they people look for in an employee.

 

I sort of hope so . I can't say I want them really thick.. though the ones that seem tighter and a but more mature(like the bottom underneath ones) are a bit thicker- not much tho
I can't see new growth making them get too fat.My hair is freakishly fine- you can see in those fuzzies, well you can't really, but a single strand of my hair is damn near invisable

yeah it will probably shrink a lot but I can't see them ending up super thick... probably about as thick as Luxie's.

I honestly like my fatter ones best but thin dreads look really good on you. mine are all sorts of different sizes and the sections are weird shapes because they sectioned themselves.

I have a few thicker ones- a few weird teeny ones, cause I sectioned them myself too

or I made them congo...
speaking of- some of the back underneath ones are flipping insane. I didn't section them or T&r them well,at .all.
then they sort of formed the hard dreads really quick- but the roots all tangled round each other. I have one that I keep trying to get to congo- I tried wraps and beads-
so , now the root is all crazy around each other so can't split it- LOL it now looks like some weird lizard tongue split.lol. but it is also probably the closest thing to a mature dread on my frizzy head right now.

 

They are knotting tons!!!

 

I'm in the same boat as you... I have really fine hair so if I had made them a lot thicker, there would have been big gaps between them. I've heard they thicken up too, but I don't think it will be a dramatic difference. I hope mine thicken up a bit, but if they don't, I'll be happy with them how they are.

I sectioned mine into 1 x 1 sections, and they came out a lot thinner than other people I know with the exact same sectioning. I'm kinda happy for that though... I don't think I'd look right with really thick dreads. Mostly the reasons I got dreads were A. to make my hair have a more interesting texture... super straight hair gets boring after awhile B. because the maximum length of my hair isn't very long... just to my nipples, won't grow longer than that. I always wanted really long hair. and C. I've always liked dreads and never got around to starting them until now.

 

If your hair had been longer they woulda come out thicker though.
