Are we not doomed, friends? Check it out. Horrifying.

MEXICO CITY - Security has reached the subcutaneous level for Mexico's attorney general and at least 160 people in his office — they have been implanted with microchips that get them access to secure areas of their headquarters.

It's a pioneering application of a technology that is widely used in animals but not in humans.

Mexico's top federal prosecutors and investigators began receiving chip implants in their arms in November in order to get access to restricted areas inside the attorney general's headquarters, said Antonio Aceves, general director of Solusat, the company that distributes the microchips in Mexico.

Hold up, does this mean I can get a microchip implanted in my wang as to grant super-human capabilities? Cause you know, that's where all this is headed......

But seriously, is anyone suprised? They've had security chips planted in dogs and cats for years now with the owner's data on them, so if they get lost a shelter dosen't need tags or anything to identify them. It sounds to me like this is just another type of ID card, one that can't be stolen or misplaced. Sounds like a good idea to me.

You are kidding, right? Or do you really like the idea of the government having complete knowledge of everything you do and every place you go? Personally, I think the government has infringed enough on the freedoms of her citizens.
They have been talking of doing this to humans for years. Hide and watch, once they get the guns from the American citizens, the implants will become mandatory. I read that in some third world country, they are already implanting them in newborns as a test.

Who's talking about the government having complete knowledge of everything you do and every place you go? All I read was that 160 Mexican workers got an ID chip that dosen't even have a tracker. Are we reading the same article?

Got a link? I'd like to read that.

MaxPower: No, I do not have a link, but i am sure you could find one if you chose to do a search.

Who's talking about the government having complete knowledge of everything you do and every place you go? All I read was that 160 Mexican workers got an ID chip that dosen't even have a tracker. Are we reading the same article? Perhaps you should have read farther into the article:
"Aceves said his company eventually hopes to provide Mexican officials with implantable devices that can track their physical location at any given time, but that technology is still under development."

And:
" Already, global positioning system chips have become common accouterments on jewelry or clothing in Mexico."

Lastly:
"In fact, in March, Mexican authorities broke up a ring of used-car salesmen turned kidnappers who were known as "Los Chips" because they searched their victims to detect whether they were carrying the chips to help them be located."

GrievousAngell: "And after they give us the chips, the aliens will come back and take us home!"

I don't know if the chip will do you much good when your little alien friends come get you, but hey, good luck. You sound like someone who might need it.

Scary, but i guess inevitable. it was probably invented with people who are like me with keys. I prefer to fear applications not technology, so long as their use is in things that are voluntary, id consider it as an alternative to loosing my keys on a regular basis. However not in a less voluntary application such as one of these fancy ID cards they're talking about over here in the UK, another story, but also one worthy of widespread mockery.

Because the cannabis and hemp families of plants is the most resourceful substance on the planet, because it is completely environmentally friendly in virtually all of its applications, because it can help and counter (if grown and utilised on a reasonably industrial scale and not the pitiful politically correct "cottage industry" it is now) global warming and world poverty. Because the narcotic effects really do aid in the mind expansion of people if used correctly and ingestion of it in various forms as a medicine can help and cure a huge variety of ailments serious and not so serious. And by keeping it illegal and alcohol legal the population is kept in the state of mind that the routine of a drink or two in the evenings, or a grand piss up on the weekend is acceptable, when in fact it damages health dramatically and does nothing to promote profound thoughts and creativity, unlike cannabis.

All of these things undermine "Babylon" which according to Nostradamus is America i believe, and according to the pope, nostry and a bunch others, the current leader of being the Antichrist leading the world into an apocalypse. And he don't no-one smoking the finer shit.

Just about everything I know about this type of shennanigans I learned from science fiction. Two good books come to mind "Snowcrash" whom I can't rember wrote it and a book called "Stepfather Bank" by DC Poyer. They both eerily reflect alot of the current trends in id tracking. btw, I say smoke ganja and if it brings down Babylon good, if it don't at least we're havin' fun.
