I didnt want my period over christmas vacation so i skipped it by starting a new pack of pill right after i was finished with one. But im having some bad side effects like heavy cramping, out of control eating, nuesea, extreme moodiness, and im ultra sensitive like everything hurts my feelings. but whats really weird is this feeling i have that gets worse everyday. It's like my head is in the clouds and i cant concentrate. People will call my name and im oblivious and my boyfriend says i sometimes say weird things, random shit that doesnt make sense. I feel like im slightytripping. So is this from the bc? Can hormones make you feel this way?
easy way to find out is to stop taking the pills until you bleed (it's not really a period while you're on bcp, it's breakthrough bleeding). yes, hormones do weird things to people, especially when they are not taken as prescribed. Look at how crazy some women get when they go through menopause...
Didn't know if you knew about them but there is this pill called Seasonale that you go for three months with no period. Really nice and has worked well for me. (Also makes the year seem faster for some reason) Though you might be interested. Hope you are ok and get to a doctor about that.
Thanks guys. The insane feeling i had is going away and my period is in a few days. Cant wait for my hormones to settle down. Nothingisreal-i wanted to go on seasonale but my local family planning doesnt carry it
You can do that with any monophasic pill, you don't need the Seasonale brand. What kind of pill are you on now? Is it monophasic (same dose all month) or triphasic (different dose each week, like Ortho Tri-Cyclen)? If you're on a triphasic pill, you shouldn't skip the week of sugar pills. If you're on a monophasic pill, skipping the week should not have caused any strange side effects like that, at least from what I've heard. But, yeah, strange fluctuations in your hormone levels can do wacky things to your body (which is why you shouldn't take triphasic pills if you get emotional side effects from bc, like increased moodiness).
I was feeling a bit like you when i started mine. I would see the doc and tell them about what's going on. They might even change it to another pill that might give you less side effects.
