um.. I just recently quit a fulltime job ive been at for over 2 years and started studying. I'm actually very sick.. probably going to have to resort to prescription med, so no need to be rude and call me lame. And I am fully aware its not 'responsible'
sorry, but how freakin hard is it to pick up a phone, dial work, and say "i'm really sick, I can't come in today". that's all you have to say. Well, maybe your name as well so they know for sure who you are. They say "ok, that sucks, hope you feel better", you exchange goodbyes hangup and then you can sleep/clean/game/whatever
I havent missed one single day since i started my job last june and only late one time. pretty good huh? and yes i agree with ihmurria its not that hard to pick up a phone and call in only takes a couple of minutes. Its going to be really hard to expect them to believe that you were really sick now. I know I would have my doubts. plus, not calling in and letting them know you arent coming is grounds for being fired.
