Ok now I bought this bong for £30 only (initially). It's 60cm tall, 3mm thick and has ice notches. I know 3mm isn't very thick but it's good enough for me. I would rather break this one eventually and buy the same one than spend hundreds on a RooR or whathaveyou. For my bong I've also bought a Roor diffuser (ordered a regular downpipe, got sent a diffusor instead) carbon filter and an orange speckled bowl. I also use a G-Spot carb-stopper as most WeedStar bongs have a carb. I really love my bong. It's the perfect size, hits great, looks awesome, easy to clean and is just completely ideal for me. What do ya'll think?
yeah, watch that you dont swing it around much when carrying it. o often bump mine around a lot in transport (but its curvy and thick, so it can take a beating) but looks awsome. 60cm is about 2ft which is quite sizable
yea.. i would expect those carbon filters to just gum up instead of be of any decent help.. just one more clog to deal with
I LOVE the carbon filter. It isn't any more of a hassle or anything having it. It keeps my downpipe, bong and bong water completely clean, and the thing itself can be cleaned in a couple minutes. A few sprays and a rub inside with your little finger or a pipe cleaner and its immaculate. I clean it and change the carbon every few days, or until it's a bit too gunky for my liking. I also notice pretty much no extra drag either. It has no disadvantages for me. One of the best accessories I've ever ordered for a bong. .. and thanks for all the comments guyssz. Happy smoking.:hat:
Carbon filter sounds like a great idea... Ive never though of that before.. great bong dude i would love to hit one of those
Can you elaborate on how the carbon filter works? Is it just a bunch of charcoal that collects res and you rinse it out? Also; how much did it cost?
Pretty much just that. A small amount has a very very large surface area so the smoke get's purified quite well as it is very porous. It's amazing because no matter how much you smoke, your downpipe, water and bong stay completely clean. The water clouds up a little after quite a lot of use but doesn't discolour. I haven't noticed it reducing effect in anyway either, it just get's rid of more bad shit than filtering through water alone. I honestly don't cough anymore either. Can't remember the last time I did, and I've been smoking some monster hits... way bigger than I use to. It's a bit pricey for such a small, short bit of glass, but was cheaper than buying an ashcatcher and I'm very glad I went with the c/f over that. I bought it from everyonedoesit for £18 I think... for 14.4 joint size it's a few pounds cheaper, this is all minus shipping. I couldn't find any cheap 18.8 ashcatchers, so I'd have had to buy a RooR reducing adaptor as well as the catcher and I was debating over which to get, but am very glad I got the filter. Cheaper, easier to clean and works better imo.
