Weed and your kids..........

Weed and your kids.......... BEfore we get started i would like you to know that i am completely stoned. If when you have kids or even if you have kids now when do you let them to start smoking weed if you do at all. do some of you have a certain age that you would let em' or do you just say no to the whole thing?

Me personaly i would let him start experiencing around 13 but ill just tell him that you shoulde'nt start smoking everyday and to not sell it.

Also you know how we have kids and if theres girls there sorta daddys little girl and stuff like im going to protect my princess lol excuse me. do you let your son only to smoke cause your to protective of your girl or do you let them start experiencing around the same age. Or do you think you can't control what your kids does and it's outta your hands?

 

I never wanted anythign to do with marijuana or alcohol until the past summer. My parents were always supportive of me experimenting with marijuana and alcohol, but nothing more. They believe I have freedom of expression and that I should rightfully use it.

Just for everyones well being, when I started drinking out of control my parents told me I couldn't drink for a while. Since then, I have drank alcohol once and I learned that things are better done in moderation.

 

If it was me, I would let my kid start experimenting at my age (14), because at the moment im just curious to try new things....but i would rather my kid gets weed off me rather than other people (just like good ol' jonny depp) so he/she wouldnt get scammed....or i would give him pocket money in weed haha

I don't think I'd tell my kid "You can go smoke pot" but if I figured it out, I'd still let him or her...but I'd make sure they're using responsibly and not being an idiot or smoking to be cool and were understand etc etc

 

If someone is gonna let they re kids smoke, i dont think it matters if its a boy or a girl. That's just kind of dumb. But I have a boy and I would let him smoke when he wanted to try it, because if he were going to he would do it anyway and would most likely tell me afterwards, and I would make my judgement based upon maturity.

 

Personally, I'd never openly 'allow' them to smoke pot. I would turn my back and pretend that they aren't, but I don't think it is beneficial for a kid to be 'allowed' to do drugs by his parents. I would try to keep them from smoking pot until they are at least 16 years old. Personally, I started at the age of 13, and I don't think it was the best idea, but it didn't do any irreperable damage to me, so hey, what the hell. I recently read a new study (from what I've gathered, it's pretty reputable, not some bullshit NIDA study) that says marijuana users who smoke a lot during early teen years when the brain is developing ALOT exhibit brain damage SIMILAR to that of schizophrenia. I know this doesn't mean they are going to be crazy, but if not smoking pot for a few years can greatly lower any damage to the brain, what the hell, why not? Gettin high isn't worth any POTENTIAL problems with the brain.

 

But it is beneficial for you to pretend your child isn't doing something? How about when she gets knocked up? you gonna pretend she isn't pregnant?


I'm not advocating parents letting their 13 yr olds get high. I think that is irresponsible. However, turning your back and pretending the issue doesn't exist is moronic.

 

Depends... I would definatly not be before they were at least 18... And then, I would have to see what things are like for them at that point in thier lives... Until then.. I want them focusing on school, and thier future... If they ever bust me smoking... than I figure I can use the "when your as old as me, you'll be able to do what you want too" line... I can drink at my age too.. doesn't mean that gives my kids the OK to drink at 15 as well... Same with driving, sex, and a lot of other things...

 

well i smoked my first joint with my aunt at 16 and that was cool but i personally wouldn't do that with any other 16 year old... i guess you shoudl just wait til yur 18... that kinda makes more sense to me. when i was 18 i smoked out with my mom. it was awesome. well, actually i was still 17, but whatever...

 

I would punish (not blatant punishment, smarter than that) my kid for taking drugs under 15/16, and be worried about what groups they are hanging out with. not because people who take drugs under 15/16 are bad people, there is just a large tendancy for them to only be doing drugs in teh first place because of delinquency. not a rule, just a trend. It would hugely depend on who my child actually is, for until they are real they are only theoretical and ridiculously innacurate predictions.

but yeh, 15/16 is the sorta time i wouldnt think negatively about it, for the peak of puberty has been crossed by then. the most important factor in all this is physiological stability of the child. i care minimally that drugs -might- fuck up my kids life, compared to drug fucking up what my child IS

 

I will openly smoke it in front of my kids, and will definitely let them know that it is not a bad thing, but, that it is best that they wait until their later teens to smoke. I will NOT allow my kids to drink at all until they are 21, and I know there will be times when I have no control over it, but I will do my best. I started smoking when I was 6, a pretty young age, but I wouldn't advocate it to my own offspring. I was allowed to smoke openly in front of my parents, and I will let my kids, too, but only if they are at least 15...

my parents freakd when they found out i was a stoner...and i deffinatley wasnt allowed to do it after that...but did it stop me NO..
so i do think that id just have to allow my kid to smoke..not like ENCOURAGE it..but id at least just not make a big deal out of it. people tend to want to do things more when they are out of reach..therefore if i just gave my kid the oppurtunity to smoke..maybe hed just start thinking of it as mundane..and therefore wouldnt be so enthralled.wow, that took effort.

1st got high at 11 o ff some brownies, liked it, and startee smoking....my edjucation is goin down the drain cause i only go to school to see freinds....yet, i make 4k a month from my own apartment at 15 ....fuck school and steriotypes....coarse as far as 2 companies and a landlord is concearned....i am my sister....ima let my kids blaze when they are able to do something with their lives

 

ok i skipped over the like 5 posts, but any way.... im not going to discourage or incourage my kids to, AFTER THERE 16. it they do it before they i really dont think its too smart, but when they do im gonna tell them how it should be done (no more then 4 days a week) and they gotta still get a 3.0 GPa... i just made this shit up right now so w/e but tahts how i think it should be, BTW im drunk

 

yea, lets just say my parents aren't really that parental. both of them have lsd'd their brains to death, they're both really spacy...so when I was little, it was just normal for me to smoke...yea, i don't think my brains exactly ruined beyond all recognition, but neither do I think it's in perfect shape. I don't really give much credit to pot for "destroying" brain cells, but I've been on drugs my whole life, so...
