Alright, so say I'm taking a trip somewhere, which I'm not, and I'm going on a plane. I'm well aware I can't take a gun or knife on the plane with me, but can I ship them as cargo?

Also, can you mail a gun?

If neither of these are viable options how can you legally transport a gun?

Ha. I'm smarter than planning crimes on the net, my dear.

I need a gun because i'm buying a very flashy car. I'm getting the car cheap because the owner has been pulled over a dozen times in two months, and carjacked twice in two months(once he wasn't driving the car).

I will make sure I will not be getting car jacked. But if I buy a gun I'd like to be able to take it somewhere if I move or go on vacation etc.

shiaaaaaaaat when I travel I just strap my mac10 to my side and pack the silencer.

I'm kidding but if you need a piece why not just buy a cheap one when you get to your destination and then toss it when your done? Make sure you leave no prints in case it's dirty. You should be able to get something for like 50 bucks. ...and I have no idea how I know this d:

I'm actually looking into a cheap 9mm for about $150, used. I'm pretty sure I can own a gun while on probation, just not on house arrest. I wont own another dirty gun. Ever. That's just dumb when I can own and register one.

Like I said, I'm buying it for use in my car, but if I travel I'd like to be able to take it with me and I'd like to know of options available.

oh in that case my suggestion would be to not buy the car and get something less flashy....when ya get settled flashiness is flat out embarassing and you're going to regret buying it...trust me I have a friends with a bright purple bmw from her high school graduation lol it's a freaking riot she hates driving that thing.

I'm going to have to ask you to stay on topic. None of this is relevant to the questions post in the originating post. Thank you for your cooperation.

nah i've gotten better at loading and got the glick knocked off for quicker shots so now I just tote one. The only thing that sucks about it is i really like wearing skirts so it's a pain when I wanna tote my mac and I gotta wear pants ):...I look really unfashionable when I pack a pistol ):

the manufacturers of arms obviously ship them some how. presumably in some sort of containers. probably not by air. there are some restrictions now on what can be shipped that way. and probably not in ways that would facilitate access to them in transit. though this last is far from certain.

if you want deadly force that can't or won't be stopped by boarding inspections have you considered the humble 'blow-gun'? simply a tube, relatively small in diamiter, relatively long in relation to it's diameter, through which darts are blown which may in turn be tiped with any substance known.

they are not also without certain drawbacks however.

Guns can be taken on a flight as belly luggage, but ya need a special permit...perhaps in advance.

Ok, then you may be able to answer another question for me. Would a gun permit from Indiana keep me legal in other states or do I need some sort of multi-state permit?
