Nobody does seem to care. We only care about the price of oil. And we don't really look at the total cost for that. It is actually cashing in on the lives of your children. And yet we are supposed to sit back and blame ourselves for driving vehicles and creating greenhouse gases, while never looking at what actually escalated the price...foolish wars! Record profits reaped by multinational companies, but we are continually told that we have to subsidize their research and development...why is that? Why should we open national wildlife and protected areas to their leasing when they don't utiliize what they have already leased? Are we just stupid? For them it's a win win situation they control more of our domestic product, and they can choose to tap it or sit on it whichever ups their product more. Unregulated they are today's biggest bullies. They ask us to send our children to die to protect their foreign interests, while they cap the resources they have domestically in order to up their prices. We remain in Iraq because they want the PSAs signed, before we are allowed to pull out and let the liberated Iraqis govern themselves. Its so fustrating being led by one country ,one man,america owns the world,they make all decisions,they take and we give ,nz shoudnt have soilders over there we only spread the hate for america!!
The problem is that we're too busy watching sports when we should all be marching on washington, bringing tents and sleeping bags with us to stay there until change is FORCED. Same with mainstream media headquarters. We're too lazy to get up off our asses and physically confront the powers that be. Once our right to movement (travel) is taken away, people will start to wake up. By that time it may already be too late.
What is it about sports? Why do we seek to count Olympic medals, but not consider the human abuses, or the outrageours costs. 16 billion this Olympics cost, an American related to a coach was murdered, free access to information was restricted, but our President attended and applauded and had a private conversation with Putin on camera over the Georgian mess...I just have a hard time telling myself it's all worth it, to me it isn't...it's just a media scam. I lost all respect or sports when Tyson was allowed to continue his career. And other superstars have just reinforced my opinion. Once our access to free movement is infringed it will be too late!
